    You did EXACTLY what I want to do w/ the new Dazzler by adding the jacket and cuffs from the previous figure.
    Awesome review, as always.

    Love the playability with articulation and all and how figures today have the photo real face paint and sculpt, but why have they stopped painting the figures as detailed like they used to in the past. For the price we’re paying for these figures today we should not only be getting that great articulation, photo real face etc… but we also should be getting allot more paint and weathering done on all these figures. Like we took major steps backwards in that part of less paint and detail. I shouldn’t be seeing figures of the past that still look better then the newer stuff coming out today and pay the prices they want for em now. But I do love my articulation so I keep feeding the beast and letting them get away with more and more every year as prices go up.

    According to Fedex, I get this set tomorrow. Wanted to see what I will be getting into. I sort of just started with Marvel Legends and it was tough to figure out which version of any character to get. HAving collected much of GIJOE Classified Series, I have learned that Hasbro generally adds more detail to larger "premium" sets than they do regular releases. So I picked this set for that reason.

    First-rate reviews of an awesome set of figures and their accessories. Moreover, cool comparisons too.

    While I eagerly await my set, there are 2 things I really wish they had done with it. 1) An Arthur Adams style Wolvie instead of Skottie Young (not because I don't like Skottie Young's art, but it was Art Adams X-Babies that I think dealt with Mojo). 2) Finger gun hands for Dazzler--she was always bragging about how she was more pinpoint accurate with her blasts than Havok and fired from her fingers often--both in the comics and the "Pryde of the X-Men" cartoon.

      @xcorpeo  Před rokem

      Point 1: 💯 agreed. Art Adams' style could even permit an articulated figure.
      Point 2: that would be a good unique variation to the usual female body mold and hand parts that we're starting to get way too often already

    Grest review! Hasbro really did this set dirty by releasing a better version of Longshot in the retro card since that one actually has the pouch accessory along with all the accessories in this set. There's also a single release deluxe Mojo with less paint details. Somehow, I doubt Dazzler, the added paint details on Mojo, and the little Wolverine is enough to sway most people to get this set.

    • @xcorpeo
      @xcorpeo  Před rokem

      Agreed, and I don't see Dazzler and Wolvie being released separately. The single carded Longshot will also have the glowing eye

    My man, xcorpeo nailed this review like a BOSS! Seriously, all you CZcams action figure influencers should take note! I really think that you just killed it on this one, man! Totally detailed, yet concise reviews of each of the figures in this set. I'm really excited about this set of figures, and can't wait to receive the set that I pre-ordered from Hasbropulse!
    That said, I'm not totally thrilled with one aspect of the set. I'm probably going to offer that chibi baby Wolverine monstrosity to my wife, as I really hate this kind of funko pop looking treatment of characters. If she doesn't want it, I may just take a hammer to it. For scientific purposes, you understand. ;) It's just not something that I want AT ALL, and it just doesn't need to be in the set in my opinion. I would have preferred Hasbro to use that same amount of (wasted) plastic for 1)extra, expressive heads for Dazzler and Longshot, and/or 2) a satchel pouch for Longshot. That would have been a far better use of the money allotted for this set, don't you think? I know I'd preferred that, and I'm bettering 90% of collectors who pre-ordered this set would say the same! I'm not sure what goes through the minds at Hasbro sometimes because they often make questionable decisions that usually favor gimmicks over actual quality and substance. I'd have preferred a solid Captain America shield, for instance, over that one with the bullet effects with the square holes. They double down on gimmicks, when all that was required was a complete shield. Gimmicks are nice, but should be extras that offer some value. The shield thing did offer some value, but it wasn't an extra. It was the only shield we got, so half of Hasbro's buyers were left unhappy about it. Now, imagine if we'd have gotten a regular shield and then a gimmick shield! That would have made EVERYONE happy!
    Despite my whining about the baby Wolverine, I do think that Hasbro otherwise aced this set. Longshot, Dazzler and Mojo are great looking figures, clearly, and they make the set worth the money. Your review was so damn thorough, and I agree with everything that you had to say, man. You call these figures just right, giving us the good, the bad, and sometimes even the ugly. Always, your reviews are on-point, and I always look forward to when you post a new video! My apologies for the long reply, but for some reason I felt compelled to vocalize my personal gripes about the odd choices that Hasbro tends to make. I often wonder who's steering the ship there sometimes? Heh.

      Not at all, thank u for taking the time to comment. I'm with u on this one - I don't quite know what to do with the little Wolverine. the other figures are well made, but could have been much better. Expressive alt heads not included with regular releases would be a good bit of exclusivity over a heap of plastic that is Wolvie

  • @Wolvie-no3ni

    Do you display your brown jacketed Dazzler? If so, how did you keep the legs/knees from bending so terribly?

  • @jimwheeler9840
    @jimwheeler9840 Před rokem

    Dazzler looks good. Mojo always grosses me out. Longshot - just can't get into it. Face sculpt is just a little odd (jaw too short?). But biggest thing is that shoulder where the arm plugs in. It's like they sculpted it wrong or are missing a cover over that bizarre dip / notch. No human's shoulder looks like that.

    I like this Hasbro longshot better then the old . longshot from toybiz inn my opinion toy biz. messed up with it's longshot. Version . the toybiz version looks Goofy compare to the new Hasbro version. It's just one of those times toybiz did not do too good with their figures and with Longshot. Is an example The toy biz version articulations is okey. But I prefer the new Hasbro version . Of longshot. And I think the toybiz mojo is a lot more detailed and I understand that toybiz tried to make their mojo more realistic. And did a good job but I prefer the new one . But the new Hasbro mojo and old mojo are very close to a tie. Inn my opinion But I prefer to play with the new Hasbro mojo version . because it's more vibrant looking. And newer. And to me he looks more playable But I think the old one still holds up okey today. Both got something the other don't have. But then again to me at the end of the day .to me .The new one looks more like the 90s cartoon appearance and comic book debut 80s era . It's more accurate . To me. More vibrant. I definitely like how the new one looks it's colors speaks to me. More nostalgic . to me .and it's articulations better. To me When it comes to playing with .so I agree with you on that for sure about Hasbro mojo looking more playable. And it is. . nice review Bro. 😎 👍🏻
