Is there any need to be so rude? I am not a professional, I am a person who went to the factory with my vado camera and did a video which I thought people might be interested in. I'm sorry you didn't like it, perhaps go to the cinema if you want to see a professional film.
Great little video. The bugbear of most campers is weight. Fitting masses of fibre-board into vans can make them ridiculously heavy, with very little payload. They are often heavier than the corresponding coachbuilt motorhome. It is interesting, then, to see Romahome using so much plastic/fibreglass, which will stop the vehicles becoming too heavy. They will also add to the rigidity of the van in a way that fibre-board never can.
Thanks, apology accepted. I do try to remember not to move the camera too fast but it's only small and easily done. I will work on my camera technique. As I say it wasn't meant to be a professional promotional job for Romahome, I'm just a normal punter who has a romahome myself and had a visit to the factory. I'm pretty certain Romahome themselves could do a much better job.
Great video just wondering if you built a plywood mould could you fibreglass your own romahome body, it's the same as boar building as they are very expensive for what they are a dinar can could be bought for 1500 ??
Excellent video Graham thank you! I have a Hylo. I was wondering about reconfiguring inside and lowering the floor. I can’t work it out from the pictures but do you remember whether the floor was raised to house the fresh and waste water tanks? If so I’m guessing they could be removed to give more headroom? I’m sure it’s more complex than that and I’m living in cloud cuckooland but I thought it worth asking!! Thanks! 😊
Hi Jessica, I'm no expert but I think the floor is actually built on the chassis of the van and dropped down for the kitchen area beyond the chassis, hence the overhang at the back. If I remember right the waste and fresh water tanks are not under the floor they are on the side of the van. If you want more headroom you need a high top version of the Romahome. As I say I'm no expert but I hope that helps.
@@Smallmotorhome Thanks very much for your reply Graham it's much appreciated. I like the low one so that it fits in the garage..... Still a fab van regardless! Thanks again. :)
Cheers for the video...always been curious about the roma home...I like the compact camper
Thanks for the comment Gary, it was fascinating to see the processes that go into making a Romahome. They are lovely vans.

I’m hoping beyond hope that one day they return, making electric or hybrid Romahomes, fingers so crossed! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
If ever you are on the Isle of Wight give them a ring they will probably be pleased to show you round.
I love the R 20 HILO what a shame they stopped building them.

Always wanted a c15 Romahome but I'm 6.6 and I don't think theirs enough leg room to drive one ☹️

Hola Buen dia, uma pregunta tiene videos o fotos donde muestre como une la Cabina de Casilla.al Chasis...? y que pegamento usa?
I love mine
Do they do a petrol version
Oh. are you Graham. the awning was an Alpro inflatable. cubo
I bought one it's brill.
speedlampshade Yes that's me, glad you like the awning, they are brilliant, I agree.
Hi. Are you the chap showing us round a drive away awning?
speedlampshade I've done a video of drive away awnings, yes.
Hi, does the berlingo romahome has hot water? hot water warmer?
Thanks
Hi Jo, it's an option you can choose when you buy a new one, so if you're looking at second hand some will have hot water and some won't.
It's gone now I think? Is thar right.
Yes, sadly Romahome is no more. Northstar Conversions now own the old factory as far as I'm aware.
I'm sorry. It was not my intention to be rude but I did find, in certain scenes, the constant panning to and fro to be visually disturbing.
Oh dear! ... I feel seasick. Crap camera work.
Please get the film done professionally. It could then be quite interesting.
