    If we want to take reaction from staad and footing design in safe then what modifications needs to be done during importing time? Better to have one video plz if possible

    In case of column on property line the axial force eccentricity causes large BM on footing causing tension on one side, as you say can I design the footing till not more than 25% area of footing is in contact with soil.Does the footing SBC condition for service load should be satisfied or the SBC value can be relaxed by considering 1.5 safety factor as compared to 3 which is usually. But also the SBC with 200 kN/m2 will only satisfy for single floor building as for two floor the axial load is such that the SBC value comes less than footing pressure.So in this case do you design footing as strap footing,combined,etc or can rectangular footing can be provided?

    Informative video but I have 2 doubts.
    1. Why 2xP/(effective area)
    2. In SAFE, the moment is applied along Y so it is actually MY which is about X, am I correct here?

    Sir, In CSi safe Deff for foundations is taken with reference to top cover for punching shear check when we right click and check on ratios...How to solve this issue in csi safe..Also in newer versions reinforcement increases when mesh size is reduced whereas it was opposite in old version of 2016..So I always calculate reinforment from moment values..

    Please come again, are you saying the total force in the triangular distribution would coincide with the supposed axial force P at an eccentricity e from the center of the footing?. I doubt it

      The point where the reaction pressure to be checked shall be co-linear with the point of eccentric load

      Avarage pressure increases twice. Hence to get that equal we made 2xP/ Effective Area… U may refer the book of WC Teng for that. I’m not very sure about why the soil behaves that. It is complete advance soil mechanics part
