Can so remember Mom hitting me with the "hungry people all over the world" line when I complained about the Thanksgiving leftovers. I finally asked her if we could send the people the leftovers. Rolled over into my adult life, & when my grocery has those "loyalty" offers for free Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners, I donate them to shelters & food programs. Can't do much, but I can do that, & feed a hungry child. Every little bit helps.

Going outside to repair a rake in a suit and tie. Nothing there unusual for the average American circa 1950s watching tv.
At certain times of the day they would go inside to change their socks before resuming their pounding on the rake with the leftovers. It was the presumed normal behavior for them at that time and age.

Anyone can guess what was Ozzie's monthly dry cleaning bill was? HE also wears dress clothes every day. Ozzie is just the nicest neighbor and DAD !
In some episodes he even wore clean socks and underwear.
