I read this years ago and remember thinking the writing was lovely but the pacing was death, no pun intended. I'll try it again at some point. Might have just been my mood at the time.

I did feel a little slow down in the middle, but it soon found its feet

Yeah, I remember this book. It was pretty good, I thought. Definitely stirring, and the last line is perfect. A really good YA book.
