I'm a happily childfree Black woman. Having a child is a choice, neither a requirement nor a right as a woman. In some cases, it's a privilege, because in some cultures, motherhood is forced upon a woman. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to opt out of parenting, as a woman. Not everyone was meant to be, or should be, a parent. Just stop bugging women about our personal reproductive choices!

I'm a man and I feel sorry for women who already have children by these deadbeat sperm donors, going back and forth to child support court, hoping that he finally starts taking care of his responsibilities. I did not enjoy the company of children when I was a child so it wasn't something I ever even thought about doing. You don't decide to have a child or spouse presuming they will be your caretaker later in life you choose then because you want that type of relationship. Assuming that people want what is considered normative or what you want is presumptive and dismissive of other people's experienced and values.

People are concerned about women not wanting children and not concerned about creating a world we would feel safe and stable enough to raise a child in. I’m 32 and have always wanted to be childfree. I remember having that thought for the first time at about 8 years old. My mom and stepmother both had my 1/2 siblings within a month of each other and I saw how much strife it caused them, their marriages and their overall satisfaction in life. At eight years old, I probably wasn’t mature enough to understand exactly how much babies were impacting their lives, but all I knew was that everyone’s life became exponentially more stressful with a baby around and I knew I didn’t want to do that. I remember being SCARED at the idea of having to go through this one day as a mom. And then it was like a light switch flipped in my brain a few years down the road and I thought…”WAIT…I don’t HAVE TO be a mom, do I?!” I answered my own question😉. I have nightmare about being pregnant, not dreams. I wake up panicking thinking a baby is in my spare room. It’s crazy because it’s almost like in those nightmares, I am seeing my life and how it would be if I did decide that I had wanted children. And the relief that I feel when I realize that it was all a dream lets me know that there’s not a single cell in my body that wants to be anyone’s mother, ever. When a woman tells you she does not want to have children, believe her. It goes so much deeper than just waking up one day and deciding babies aren’t for you.

Also, if people with kids tell you “You’ll never know true love until you have a baby”, ask them if they believe that their children truly love THEM. Because if we’re going by THAT standard to establish what love REALLY is, your innocent child does NOT truly love you since they they didn’t give birth to you…right?!😅Almost all parents are gonna say they think their kids DO truly love them, so you immediately flip their statement back on them and make them realize how ignorant it is. It makes them realize that true love can exist in many ways across many different forms of relationships. I “truly love” my parents, but not in the same way I “truly love” the woman I’ve been best friends with since kindergarten. But I don’t “truly love” my best friend the same way I “truly love” my dog. If they get offended by you pointing that out, it says more about them than you. The truth hurts and throwing an insulting question back in someone’s face after they threw a backhanded insult at you is a good, low-key savage way to say “f-ck you for assuming I haven’t experienced true love”.

In sports teams, new players suffer hazing and abuse by older players. When they become the older players, they then haze and abuse the younger ones instead of being mature and ending the cycle of abuse. Breeders are the same way, they want to force everyone to breed and suffer children the same way they did. They hate Childfree people's willpower to say "No" to society, our thinking that led us to question conformity, our determination to make our own decisions.
2:30 - Questioning and commenting on people's reproduction is sexual harassment and should be treated that way. It doesn't matter whether it's a Childfree person or even someone who does want kids, asking is sexual harassment.

I’m a conservative woman who wants to live my life child free for many reasons. I come from a diverse family, with half of them being Puerto Ricans and the other half Sicilian, both of which are huge on family and “old school” traditions when it comes to these societal expectations of bringing life into this world as a woman. However, it’s even more confusing to fellow conservatives that I don’t hold the same value in wanting to start a family because of political correctness (God, faith, family, women’s rights when it comes to abortion etc…) and while I am pro life, I can also have every right to be childfree myself. Another thing that aggregates me are the “what ifs” from pro lifers. What if you got pregnant? It’s called birth control. Use it accordingly. Now stop worrying so much about my life choices, and go change that diaper. 🎉
