I'm not sure about the venom part, but the rest of it is pretty similar for badgers and weasels in North America. Nobody takes them on. They show ZERO fear in pretty much any situation.

Not really. For sure it's a formidable adversary. But this is overstating things. I don't think the lion is ever gonna run from this. Plus, the female lion is more aggressive and usually has no balls. The HB ain't invincible and can be taken out by venom sometimes
I watched a documentary about this animal rescue that had lions and a couple honey badgers. Something this video doesnt give them credit for is how smart they are. They could never make an enclosure that would keep the thing in it. It had concrete walls that it couldnt climb. But it also had rocks and sticks forthem to play with and climb on. Well it first moved the sticks to the wall and climbed up those. So they took all the sticks out. Than it somehow moved and piled the rocks up and climbed out that way. So now the thing has nothing but a few chew toys and food bowls. Did that stop him from escaping? Hell no. Any gueses how he did it? How would you? Surounded by 4 walls you cant climb. Well the little bastard made a bunch of mudballs and stacked them on each other and climbed out. You may be wondering how they found and recaputred him each time. Well it wasnt hard to find him. He was escaping so he could then break into the lions enclosure and fight them. Thats lions plural. One time they found him chasing the lions around and the next time they found him near death with multiple puncture wounds but the little bastard survived. They also were trying to design a honey badger proof bee hive and they never were able to do it. He beat every system they came up with. So if you ever wondered why they are called honey badgers thats why.
I didn't realize that Honey Badgers were so badass. Cool.

They prefer easier prey. HOWEVER, if they are hungry enough they will kill a HoneyBadger for food. The video said lions fear Honey badgers. They don't. Even solitary lionesses have killed Badgers. Not easily but they have. Look up the videos on CZcams. Easy enough to do.
