Thank you for the video, it will come handy tomorrow. My PIU has no cam, so I got a mirror with a display and a cam from a Fusion. Will try to get it all fit while taking advantage of having a headliner down.
Nice one but did you do the programming afer replacing the camera? Thank you.
Hi no I didn't. Replaced many times rearview cameras with aftermarket ones on Fords and newer had to program
I just ordered a replacement camera, my current camera goes I and out.
is it worth replacing the wiring harness or how can you make it waterproof
It is just bad design. Water always gets in and corrodes. If your wiring is in really bad shape then it is a good idea to replace it
@@QuiteAlright Will see how bad it is, bought contact spray and a new camera. Hopefully that does it
How did the aftermarket camera work for you? 5:56
It worked good. Picture was sharp. Only thing I noticed that it missed the white lines while parking in reverse compared to oem
@@QuiteAlright I see. So it did not have the guide lines when backing up at all? Would you be so kind as to share the link that you purchased it from?
@@leandrorempel2052 I think guide lines depend on the model year or trim level, something like that. I don't have the link, but I know I got it from ebay and I just checked they go from $40 and free shipping
Awesome. Step by step. This is the best video for performing the camera change.
Glad you think so!
