4:59 man, this is so nostalgic. I remember how happy I was finally getting Wano Zoro to 6* and finally being able to dominate the league with him. I remember when I got WCI Sanji, I knew I had to main him because I love his design, even though he's not meta. I remember i loved using og Perona so much because i really like her negative status effect. Man, i miss those days.

When you are f2p it feels really good when you destroy a lvl 100 roger or any op character with 160 170 support with your mid support with old BFs or EXs at lvl 80 or sometimes lvl 100
I agree with you. My enjoyment of the game comes from me playing characters I have fun with regardless of if they're meta or not. Yeah it's tough to stick it out with the insane power creep but my fun comes out of hard won victories. You wanna play Caribou? Go ahead. Want to main General Franky? Do it! Yeah the games will be harder but I swear the wins will be sweeter. And if you love the new Roger or Yamace don't feel bad for that either. Play who you want.

Hey man, I relate to this video more than I'd like to admit. I 100% agree with everything you said, I started playing around 2 years ago and I've lost so much interest and fun by spending around $50 monthly, I only care about pulling for the latest and greatest character, fitting into the meta and completing specific missions, not really enjoying this for how much I like One Piece. This does make me re consider leaving for a while, or at least stop spending to get back in touch with those first few days, thanks for this video 🙏♥

I feel you, Soul. I started in October, not a heavy spender yet but i bought all exes since October. Micro transaction games do get frustrating. I played a game call state of survival aka its a zombie game for retirement age people or millionaires lol. I spent 30k on it initially over a 6 months period to become the #1 rank in my state and be the main guy in surrounding states. The further the game progresses, the more money you'll need to play it because of the power level. New items, gears, heroes, HQ etc. It got to a point where i ask myself, is this even worth my time or money since 1) you must login everyday and run a clan/state with at least 600 people in it. I was the governor of my state and the head of my clan for 6 months straight, shit was just too tiring + way too damn expensive. It requires 3-5k top up each month to stay at #1 or else, your account will practically be useless over the long term unlike this game at least
This video is so deep and heartwarming for no reason. After i watched it, it made me feel like Soul sent me a personal apology video for all the wrong he has done. It also made me tear up a bit because it sounds like Soul really poured all his feelings into this video. (P.S Thank you soul for confessing and you're my favorite opbr youtuber.)

Opbr is about making progress on your account. Yeah It might be fun for a day when you buy a pack or whatever. But the best feeling is when you get better medals and better Support... It is about improving and not maxing everything instantly. Thats why whaling is fun for a short period of time but F2P is better for long time fun.
Started playing around 1st anni and have been F2P ever since and I can easily say that opbr before insane EX’s/meta characters was so fun, I remember dominating w og Mihawk and kizaru and now the game releases a new op character every day of the week, it gets to a point where there’s so many new metas that a meta won’t last more than 3 months forcing F2P players to spend all their gems saved up on a new character every time, I can’t keep up😅.
yeah..someone needs to tell bandai to stop releasing op characters for a while or make a mode where we play only old characters without insane traits

I like the idea of an older game mode to make old characters relivent. One thing I will say is that it's a gacha game and I think that's what makes people spend so much because like ppl have said in the comments you spend all your rds on step up to find that you have to spend like 3000 gems on just 1 character o and you may not get the character you want and I think that's why alot of ppl spend so much trying just to get 1 character that isn't guarantee. Heard alot of ppl say pirate King luffy never been 100% that you will get him. Think soul said it in the video he dropped 1 of his biggest spendings just to get that 1 character. Make it 100% guaranteed if you get all the steps in 5/5 should be 100% not go round 15 lots of 50 rds so that you still haven't got it and just get frustrated even more than they already are.

The problem as a f2p for me is the abysmal gap in power between lvl. The most fun character I've had with is shiryu, the problem is he is only lvl 70. Which means I'm getting one-shot in every match and do no damage. This problem is mostly because he lacks stats, and the grind to lvl up characters is by far the longest in any game I've played. You need like 2000 fragments for lvl 100 a single character. And you can farm approximately 120-150 fragments per month, 20 fragments per events (so 80 per month, 20 per week) and 50 fragments per league season but only if you reach SS (which mostly won't because you will be against ex spammer every single match). Basically the grind is way too long.
You was spitin gang and the other thing is you spend all that bread and the very next character completely counters the character that you spend your bread on like wtf 💀💀 Legit no point and also when I said these anni units are legit copy and paste which they are but am just crying because we got no Bb … Overall you were spittin Ngl and I feel you thou 🙏🙏
