The vocalist is only 14 yrs old and the reason why the song is very popular is because most Filipinos love sentimental songs and this song hits you directly like an in your face statement. ‘Kabilang buhay’ means Afterlife. This is a very sad song. It’s a story of a couple then in an unexpected event, one day the girl got really sick and passed away. So basically the guy felt very sad and broken. The guy was looking back those times that his girlfriend was still alive, talking about their future, dreams, staying on each other no matter what etc.. And now she left so he felt empty

Kabilang Buhay is translated as "Afterlife" in english. It is a song made from a real-life story of some unknown person, that's atleast what I think. It's story is that there is a couple who loved each other and could've lasted until their last breath but the last breath came way too soon. It's a story, narrated by a person who's talking to himself, or should I say his loved ones who passes away, thinking about their memories and their plans on their future that never had the chance to come true.
I already heard thousand of best music local and internarional but this song is the most soul touching ive ever heard in my life..
