I'm really bad against Riku, I repeated that part a lot of times, about the rain I know that the light is quite annoying, I hope to be able to fix it later, about the map I still think it is still incomplete and possibly it can be improved.

Yo this is the coolest thing I've ever seen.
I say this with absolutely 0 experience in modding, but I think the only thing could improve it is possibly toning down reflection on the water, as it makes the flashing effects a bit hard to parse in the actions.
Have you ever seen Roxas's first appearance in the first Kingdom Hearts game?
We need a remaster of the full game
If 10 years ago i would have seen a playable boss fight like this one, I would had screamed so loud that my parents should have called the police. Beautiful.
IMO, Roxas’s story was the best. It was the most interesting, endearing, emotional, focused, and best of all - he’s voiced by Mr.“I DONT WANT ANOTHER PRETTY FACE” Jesse McCartney.

Damn, Roxas vs Riku is my favorite scene in whole Kingdom Hearts series. If Nomura reworks 358/2 days like this, I would cry in happiness.

If you're using ca_03_vfx for the rain you can get rid of the annoying flashing light by going into the file and in the header list remove the last letter of both CV_CA_ThunderCloud_A and CV_CA_ThunderCloud_B.

Couple of those lines I’m pretty sure come from the original KH2 on PS2.

I know it’s technically an error that Roxas uses the Oblivion keyblade as he uses Oathkeeper and Riku uses oblivion, but I kinda like the idea of Roxas using Oblivion (as he is ready to sacrifice anything to get Xion back) and Riku using Oathkeeper in his solitary oath to awaken Sora
Error? I don’t know much behind the scenes, what was originally intended?
@@Senaru in the original game Roxas holds Oathkeeper, Riku holds Oblivion in their duel. During the gameplay, Roxas’ held keyblade was Oblivion not Oathkeeper
Well I can also see it as riku resonance with the oblivion keyblade as it is sora’s bond with him and roxas oathkeeper couldbe the promise to bring xion and represent how she is like his kairi

edit : 3 months later and im just now realizing you meant when fighting riku and not the heartless at the beginning , my bad . though he does have oblivion at the end of the fight when riku busts out ansems guardian
Oblivion is meant to represent Riku himself, so it makes more sense for him to wield it, especially when he's trying to stay himself during the fight. He then abandons Oblivion and later turns into Riku Ansem when he loses. Roxas, meanwhile, is holding Oathkeeper, which is meant to represent Kairi and Sora's connection to her, and Xion's appearance is meant to represent Sora's memories of Kairi. Since Roxas is trying to save Xion by opposing the Organization, it makes the most sense for him to be wielding it when Riku (Oblivion) is the only thing standing in his way.
That's at least my interpretation.
2:18 I Really wished Riku still looked like this! With his long hair, natural eye color, and way to the dawn keyblade ! They took everything from him and made him another Noctis / Yozora look alike!

@@donkeydeez1012 it’s not and it makes me sad because Riku is my favorite character in the series! I also really like Yozora but even he isn’t who he should be. Because Yozora is a carbon copy of Noctis and so is Riku! Sora still looks like Sora and Kairi looks pretty much the same as well! Riku is the only one who had all these changes done to him! Changes are fine when done right !

@@lune5289 I can understand why it’s hard for Nomura to let Vs 13 go. Just imagine if you took all this time to create these awesome characters and story only to have it taken away from you and turned into something else entirely. I would be upset like Nomura. So I can understand why he is trying to take this time now and opportunity to implement ideas from Vs 13 into kingdom hearts. Verum Rex in my opinion will be something similar to what VS 13 should have been. I’m for it honestly. We have the technology to make that game look and play beautifully. Have you seen the Verum Rex cutscene? And mind you KH3 came out in 2019 which means that whole game was made years prior! They are starting development on KH4 which will use unreal engine 5! So be prepared to be mind blown when you see how beautiful Quadratum will be in the next couple of years ! And Sora only looks the way he does because he is in Quadratum! Sora still looks like Sora and even still uses the same Kingdom Key from the first game. Unlike Riku who had a complete new redesign everything from his hair and eye color down to his keyblade and outfits each game!
I agree with you. Riku looked really grown in KH2 and so did Sora. They really reverted their looks in KH3. I didn't like it.

that is if square even wants to remake them , that being said , now that kh3 and future games are running on unreal engine i can honestly see people creating mods that basically remake kh1 and 358/2 days just inside of kh3 seeing as basically anything can be added in the game if someones experienced enough with unreal , i mean with mods like the coliseum and all these moveset and model mods its definitely shown that something like a full game remake is possible inside kh3 , just a matter of if someone wants to invest that time
This game holds such a special place in my heart, would love to play a remake of this caliber ❤

@@saxenart He actually said that. Back when Kingdom Hearts 1.5 was about to be released on the PS3, he was in a Q&A and a fan asked him, was he ever going to remake the 358/2 Days. He simply replied "he would love to remake it one day." Obviously since Square was in early stages of developmening Kingdom Hearts 3, Nomura didn't want to stop the team for a second. Sadly, Nomura never specified when the remake will happen. But it's good to know he is planning on doing it.
Could you please link me to a source with that Q and A? I'd be interested in seeing it since I had no idea they did one.
@@alannacrystal I'm sure if you search it you can find it. I think there was 2 or 3 parts to the Q&A. In part I, he said he would like to see a playable 358/2 Days. And I think in a follow up question to it in the next Q&A, he said he like to see a remake of it. Sorry I'm not a big help lol I suck! It's been years since I read that Q&A.
First of all, I'm sorry if you've received multiple notifications from me, I've tried sending this reply multiple times, but for some reason it kept on getting deleted when I tried to edit it.
Second, the closest thing I could find to what you're describing is an interview where Nomura mentions that he WANTED to remake Days, but they went for the cutscene collection instead because they didn't have enough time. I couldn't find anything where he mentions any plans to remake Days in the future.
It was such a nice touch adding in the extra dialog about Xion. That's a good attention to detail.

After knowing the fact that Roxas and Xion was originally not gonna return in KH3, this scene feels much sadder.
Seriously, Roxas may had a closure in KH2 but Days just added way more for Roxas to return than not after returning to Sora
This fight can be seen as Sora Vs. Riku but on the opposite sides this time, many scenarios I wished it was taken in KH, like I wonder what would have happened if Roxas and Riku joined in instead of getting Sora back, or even what if Sora kept his false memories of Namine and then proceed to be part of the new trio (Sora, Namine, Riku Replica)

I always felt like Roxes was the stronger keyblade master just because of how good he fights with two key blades and his move sets in general. Plus he naturally wilts to keyblades which makes him bad ass
I was today years old when I realized Riku says “You’re gonna lose it all” when he does Dark Aura. Or was that the battle quote from Session? I could never quite make it out lol

That's the powered up form his keyblade goes into from the actual fight.

These cutscenes are from 358/2 Days. In that version of the cutscene he didn't have the kingdom key. idk if it was an intentional retcon or an accident

Amazing work! I know the dark seeker saga is finished but I really wish and hope 358/2 days gets a remake to see the game in its entirety plus new scenes and the epic battle of Xion vs Roxas and tiki vs roxas heck threy could even make it so once you beat the game as roxas you can play through it as riku
Technically you could, as 358/2 days had a multi player mode where you could choose between all the members of Organisation 13 and unlock extra characters as well as you progressed throughthe story, Donald, Goofy, Riku, Xion. As well as King Mickey and Sora which are unlocked through the in game item shop

SQUARE ENIX needs to make a 358/2 days remake.
It is just INSANE that modders went so HARD for the 358th day of Roxas's existence from 358/2 Days and ported it to KH3 that the Heartless go down in literally ONE strike in spite of their high health. And that's not to MENTION the fact that Roxas is in Double Form for the ENTIRE battle until Riku steals the Oblivion Keyblade.
Imagine if the mod put in the KH2 Secret Ending Scenes. I understand it's not possible with the last part but still, It's a great thought.

What have they been doing since they released KH3 and melody of memory! It’s already been 2 years since MOM came out! We should of been playing the next KH game by now! So basically we have to wait 4 or 5 years for the next game !
@@OrganizationXIII They already have the engine, assets and a lot more unreal engine experience, so it's natural to assume it won't take as long as KH3 did, which faced a lot of development issues. Though, knowing Square it probably will be a while I'd say 2024 - 2025

I think Riku looks so much better with long hair than he does in KH3! This is his natural look! Why did they have to change him! Sora still looks the same! Same eye color same kingdom key same hair and same clothes just different colors every game! But Riku had a whole make over! And kairi looks better with long hair to!

I want him to have his original eye color again along with his long hair and way to the dawn or soul eater keyblade. I don’t like his new look in KH3.
