Fun fact: this project was written as an adaptation of Valve's "Portal" video game when I got my hands on the Orange Box in 2007. It was written as a sort of origins film of Aperture Science and all it's marvelous experimentations on human subjects. When Portal 2 came out earlier this year, I was surprised to see the similarities between this short and the game's exploration of Aperture's Past. Now, I won't say "Called it", or "What a coincidence," I'm just glad Valve's story for Portal 2 included a look into Aperture Science's troubled past... and that Cave Johnson reminded me of the "villan" in this film.
