Oshoku well tony did make him so I like how he kinda takes after him by using his quotes and having a very evil version of Tony’s character which is what makes him terrifying because he has this slight charismatic demeanor but you know how evil his plan is so it’s honestly a good thing he has a personality and he isn’t just a marvel terminator
Besides it's he has a mind of his own. He has his own personality and he learned from Tony too so that's why he's funny. It's a movie too so it doesn't have to be exactly like the comics, people also enjoy comedy
I don't know why but whenever i read an Ultron comic book it's more of a sadistic type. Which kind of matches Spader's preformance.
Oshoku I mean you could interpret it as him mocking humans with their humor, plus everyone expect an emotionless killing machine whenever ppl think of A.I destroying humanity, the thing, and be unsettling thing, you’d expect is if it understood humanities sense of humor and knows how to effectively mock them with it. Which I think is an interesting take on Ultron(plus he was created by Tony Stark in the MCU so he might’ve had a little bit of Stark humor imbedded in him without knowing it).
That's why i don't like it, Ultrón should be a murder machine without any humanity or emotion, might not be really a bad character and i get if someone like it but idk, he should be like in his introduction scene

Tony, Steve and Thor were retired I think in that show. So Hank, Janet, Clint, Wanda, Sam, Tigris, Crystal and Simon were the base team until Vision joined.

but it is. is not the leader in the comics but probably the most important. is not that weird that they make him the leader

Ultron has always been one of my favorite villains of all time because of EMH and Next Avengers. He is by far one of the most intimidating marvel villains.
Ultron is powerful, intelligent and supreme.

Okay so I think David Sobolov would be the perfect voice actor for Ultron. Just check out his performance as Shockwave in Transformers Prime and you’ll see how well it would work.

I wish Age of Ultron was made more like a horror movie. The broken ultron with the way it speaks and the lines about strings was chilling. But then it became pretty comical.

The robot Arsenal body Ultron hijacked can absorb energy to a pocket dimension, basically he moved all of infinite power to an infinite space.
P.s: later on in a comic tie-in, those 5 infinite powers became sentient copies of the Avengers dark counterparts.

To be fair, the Ultron in Avengers EMH was meant to just be a normal Ultron droid with some upgraded weapons, and the Ultron bots were never meant to be scary. He even says that much. Later in Season 2 he gets an adamantium upgrade and a cooler design. Also, the two voices for Ultron work because of context. The Next Avenger’s Ultron has killed most of the Avengers, and the voice communicates how much of an unstoppable warlord he is. In Avengers EMH, the voice is more cold and calculating. It’s not to robotic, because even though Ultron doesn’t like to admit it, he’s as human as the rest of us. He’s based off of Hank Pym, and he’s tried to make Wasp into his wife. That’s why I respect both voices for what they bring to the table in terms of Ultron, and I’ll usually be using either voice when reading a comic with Ultron.

When I was younger. I always thought EMH Ultron sounded terrifying with it’s human/glitching robot like voice.
Tom Kane’s performance is good, and EMH Ultron is terrifying, but Next Avengers is holy crap levels of terrifying.
The one from 2008 is played by the same guy, Tom Kane, so I assume you like the design more?

Damn... the two clips from the movie are almost perfect with each other. Ultron was almost a creepy, threatening villain, then he started cracking jokes and I couldn't take him seriously anymore.
The MCU Ultron is honestly my favorite. Hes so charismatic and funny.
That’s not how Ultron is supposed to be, he’s supposed to be a cold, emotionless machine and they nerfed him beyond extent, his “age” was barely a week, his design was ruined, and he can’t be taken seriously at all considering they make him crack jokes every 20 seconds
But why? Why does Ultron have to be a bland as toast generic evil AI? I'll take a weaker Ultron with a personality over a stronger, personalityless one. Besides, Iron Man also constantly cracks jokes, so why do you take him seriously and not Ultron? Some of the best villians are the jokey, comedic ones.
Also, why is age an issue? I cant remember exactly, as I havent seen Earths Mightiest Heroes in some time, but I dont think he was the longest-lived villian either.
@@storycaster4181 ultron was never supposed to be like Tony stark and he quite clearly resents Tony. Ultron is a machine that only thinks with cold logic, therefore he should act like it. And being what you call a generic AI doesn’t make him any less intimidating. Just look at him in Next Avengers, he literally wiped out all but a small group of humanity and he never shows emotion, cracks jokes, and is insanely powerful. He literally had me scared shitless when he first appeared.

I feel like the Ultron from the next avengers is the strongest on screne version since he was the only on screen ultron that manage to kill the avengers make the hulk scared and also drove Thor to run back to asgard
James Spader is my favorite portrayal, with Tom Kane right behind him. Before Thanos, he was my favorite MCU villain.

I absolutely hate it when the MCU influences so much of the design in other mediums like comics, video games and animated shows.
Kevin Patel Sadly they did that with the Guardians of the Galaxy, before the movie, they were a serious and real team, also Star-Lord was respected by his team but when the movie came out they made them comedians on the comics too

MCU Ultron used to be my favorite hands-down, likely due to being my first exposure to the character, and I wished more versions of Ultron were like him.

Actually, those robot lips were gross. He should have given the Kirby dots or an EKG line. Spader was great though.
