    This is yet another great example of the main issue with MNK in Apex. Recently, Soar Gaming did a video on this and prior to that, Struth Gaming did one. Someone needs to get these to the Devs!

      I honestly thought it was just players complaining, but after slowing footage down and confirming the head jerking / reticle sway. It’s mind blowing that they don’t think this is something that needs to be fixed.

    It feels so damn good to finally play a new FPS that is focusing on PC/MnK. The BETA was more optimized on PC than full released games from bigger studios with well known IP's.

      That’s why we’re all so hard on apex man. Everyone just wants to see the game fix these glaring issues that have been around for years because we love the game. The amount of times I’ve heard some version of the phrase “I want to love this game so badly but this thing/things is making it so difficult.” Is kinda crazy. Personally right now my version of that is I want to play their game right now so badly but they’re 3 weeks late on their cross progression promise so I can’t play on my 800 hour account that I’ve spent 200-300 dollars on. Sometimes apex feels like an ex that wants to break up with you but doesn’t have the heart to tell ya so they treat you like shit till you leave lol.

      @@Wynkrs True man lol. I kept telling myself the problems were not so bad for a long time and maybe I gotta "get good', but after playing the finals that changed withing the first few hours. My shots were actually hitting and didn't need to squint to see through all the flashing and muzzle flair to hit the target. I felt like I've had Stockholm syndrome for the longest time. lol

    I think the finals having hitscan guns is pretty impactful too. Visually seeing a perfect 1:1 correlation between where your crosshair is and where your shot lands makes aiming feel so refreshing when most games use projectile physics. It feels much eaiser to translate aim training into finals as a result too.
    I've also noticed something else a little more subtle. Once an enemies health bar appears it feels much eaiser to keep track of their center of mass. Even if the target is obscured by your view model, foliage, smoke, ect. Visually this seems like a much better way to handle communicating damage than bright distracting numbers like apex

    Well said. Great video. It's such a relief to track natural movement in the finals. Apex tracking is all reflex and when an enemy can just move in any direction at any time without momentum loss, it's throws all aim theory and experience out the window and gives the younger twitchy movement players all the advantage. Even the evasive dash mechanic is predictable enough to track in the finals. The crazy thing is that the muzzle flash in apex was initially much worse. You whole screen was flames when firing the r99 without optics.

    Hunt Showdown and the Finals have been godsends as a purely mnk player who's grown tired of Apex's bs. 2 great games both built around strategic trio gameplay.

      It sure has. I understand the need for AA so that console players can compete, but the need to handicap raw MnK aim for no reason is like adding more stick drift to controller artificially in order to balance things out. It is absolutely ridiculous.

    Recently switched to pc mnk as I’ve always been better on the input, but switched to console to play games with friends back in the era you had to do that. Can’t say I’ve noticed the reticle sway but bullet punch is insane in this game, and the flash from hitting enemies literally makes them impossible to see sometimes. Crazy what you don’t notice when the game aims for you. Hopefully they are moving in that direction though, people thought the flatline had a shadow buff this season but it’s same recoil pattern, damage, dps, everything is exactly the same except they reduced the visual recoil of your reticle on the guns this season.

      Exactly! MnK players would not complain as much if you just allowed us to shoot and aim at a somewhat clear target. The Flatline is a perfect example, the gun already has a hard recoil to manage, but the screen shake pre-patch on top of that was absolute overkill!

    Immediately hit the subscribe button. I play both inputs but more so roller. But, you touched on something I thought about but completely forgotten. The GUN handicaps your visibility in Apex Legends. I forgot what map, but I remember when we got a new map and something seem off, and I had to adapt but wasn't too sure about it, but it was the effect of the bullets hitting the body and losing track of the enemy. At first, before thinking about that, I thought it was just my eyesight since I do wear glasses. But, I knew something wasn't right before realizing it was the polygon force field effect on the enemy when getting shot in combination to the environment, and it was big time bad for me. Until I got used to it, and the rest was history. Yes, the GUN shouldn't being handicapping you. The CRIT If I'm mistaken, doesn't even have a CRIT effect on the player that receives as the flinch is still the same as Ring Damage flinch and not BIG SWAY GUN effect.So CRIT shouldn't even be in the game but only can see it as an indication for players that are deaf, but still you see as broken shield icon. I enjoy Apex, but The Finals DOES feel so good to play, even though sbmm was disabled during the beta. The game just felt good and enjoyed the variety of matches.

    I discovered your channel with this one video, props to you for making such a good and explanatory video about aim assist in games like Apex and The Finals, I read lots of comments regarding aim assist but I didn't get what was wrong with it, because I'm currently with MnK and some years ago I played on console, and seeing what MnK players could do in games like Rainbow Six, it was clear that MnK is superior for FPS, so I didn't quite get what all this fuss about AA was about. Great Editing, great video quality (both the animations and the gameplay were perfect, unlike other videos where I saw a lot of pixels and so on), great explanation. Looking forward to your next video about The Finals :D

      Truly appreciate the kind words, it is motivating as hell for me. I was in the exact position you were in, coming from console there is a skill with controller and it is indeed harder to master than everyone makes it out to be. That is why I was so confused when I started playing Apex Legends because on paper MnK is suppose to be the superior input regardless of AA because we had much more control over our character and aim. So after comparing footage to The Finals and finally identifying the problem which was stemming from the lack of visuals/game mechanics, it seemed crazy to me how Apex got this aspect so wrong in the attempt to achieve realism (in a sci-fi shooter lol). I hope modern games like Apex can start to follow suite, so we can finally put this toxic AA vs Mnk debate behind us.

      @@HazedNConfused Totally agree with you, I hope there can be truly balanced input, The Finals seems to be going in a good direction, there’s always the option to separate the two inputs, but it would be really good to finally have balanced input so that both pc and console players can enjoy playing against (and with) each other. Let’s hope it releases during TGA🥹.

    in The finals I experienced a lot of fun and enjoyment playing that and after finishing test it was hard to start playing other games again especially bf 2042 where the input is so broken that after the finals it felt like I forgot how to aim lol. Just give people raw input without adding an element of randomness to shooting, like visual recoil and smoke from the barrel interfering with enemy tracking.

      Yea and that was the inspiration for this video. Played Finals and quickly realized that my thousands of hours aim training is actually paying off. My aim was on point and tracking was fluid. Then went back to Apex and felt like the game was intentionally hurting my raw aim. It sucks because some of the games that neglect MnK as an input, would thrive if these handicap mechanics in the name of “realism” were done away with.

      For sure, the finals really appreciates the player's time. I could be getting destroyed in a game, but still am fully engaged the entire time and leaving the match having a ton of fun. Instead of spending 75% of the time looting and being in the lobby frustated because of the mmr system.

    I love this video because I myself had alot of issues with that, comming from overwatch wich i played at a gm level on the most mechanical heroes like genji, tracer, widow I like to call myself quite a decent aimer, my aim on thte finals is really good and same goes for any other shooters I try out, but in apex, a game I really do enjoy for its movement and gameplay my aim is absolutlely terrible, especially in 1v1s, I just cannot see shit. I always think how tf am I supposed to hit a target I cannot even see, adding recoil controll to this and its an absolute mess. Its one of the reasons I never really commited to the game, because after 250hours on the game my aim still is not even a litle bit comparable to my aim on other games. then the controller and config stories make the game unplayable for a casual mkb player

      Each day I play the Finals I start to realize more and more how Apex Legends neglects and handicaps MnK players and its honestly infuriating. It makes me feel as though all those hours I spent in the firing range means close to nothing because I'm not going to be able to see the target I'm training to aim at in a real engagement.

      @HazedNConfused ill expand a bit in case you read it(sorry for writing a novel). Videos like these with little views from creators with little subs often get comments like "this guy deserves much more views". As you probably know, good content doesnt yield views on its own; there are many different factors, such as trends. Creators dont get views not because the community allegedly doesnt praise them enough, but because of some other factor that the creator is responsible for. What im saying is, I wanted to make sure you dont take my comment as another one of "this man desrves to be famous". I just personally really like your style and would love to see your channel bloom. The Finals may become more popular in which case you can take the opportunity to put effort into popularizing your channel, then it would be a piece of cake with your fun and engaging content.

    People dont understand how hard is to use a controller if u never used one,my pc fried so i had to switch to a console for some times and it was stressful,cant land a shot and getting used to the slowing down of sens on target is terrible.

    Very great points, that I've never thought about.. I guess you are absolutely right, Apex do not need to nerf Aim Assisted, fixing these things instead..
    It's too late for me, I've quit Apex for good, it's really not fun for an average M&K player, and it's sooo damn frustrating in all ways, beside all these points, I really enjoy boycotting EA Games now.

    you right. Sometimes in apex when i didnt kill some i just think i didnt see shet, not my fault. You just cant control that things, its just annoying, not about aiming, position or skills, just visual aspect. And you forgot BIG BLOOD SPLATTERS around models and FOV multiplicators not same for every weapon, that means sensitivity changes too, its stupid to do that for pistols and assault rifles, but i can understand sniper guns, becouse you have 2x 4x 6x and more x scopes. Basically for weapon you havent big scope, its shouldnt have FOV multiplicator, or it should be same for all weapons without scopes. For me that most annoying factor in apex, playing on r301 with red dot and without scope not same one sensitivity for red dot and other for unscoped r301. Re-45 not scaling FOV at all(only with scopes) lol, without scope FOV same as hipfire(only one weapon that not scaling). In finals (im not sure, but) i think all weapons have one FOV modificator that can affected only with main FOV in setting.

    MnK hab a huge advantage in the Finals over controller... If this doesn't change consoles will turn off crossplay.

      Happy MnK noises if console players turn off crossplay, because there is a huge difference in aiming between MnK and console, one trains their aim to be better, the other just finds ways to abuse aim assist. I'm convinced that in competitive games the players' skill should decide the result of matches, not adjustment of aim assist.

      This was not about how aim-assist works, just the end result. The fact of the matter is rotational aim assist will track through any visual disturbance or clutter if the target and reticle is close enough. So please enlighten me with your all knowing on how this effects my argument in any way. This coming from a pc player. :)

    aiming feels better in this over apex because apex uses projectile weapons and this game uses hitscan, its not hard to see that
