Great piece, Matt! Both of you are my favorite CZcamsrs, embodying a laid-back approach and a passion for enjoying life. It would be truly fantastic if I could seize the opportunity to enjoy a beer with Kirk. Despite my numerous visits to Victoria, I have never had the chance to meet him and his wonderful wife. Weifang is undeniably a beautiful person, radiating both inner and outer beauty.

I have been a Gweilo subscriber for some time now and my heart went out to him as he was talking about Weifongs passing, everything I hear about Weifong tells me she was a wonderful person who made a good impression on everyone she met.

A beautiful eulogy to a beautiful human being. Two things I have learned from my own near death experience a few years back are acceptance and gratitude. While we mourn the inevitable loss of someone near and dear, we are also grateful for the chance to be with that person, for however long or short that duration may be, and the memory we shared together.

SO SAD. We have watched both of you for many happy years and have had loads of interactions with Kirk from Prince Albert Canada. Being older and a lover of Chinese Wives of course and owner of a Mixed Daughter felt like a member of the Family. We have done 18 years together and had an 18 month time when Lily was in Hospital and re hab so connect with Kirk on the Hospital front. What a lovely tribute to a wonderful Lady. Love David and Lily.

I have a lot of things that I don't agree with Gweilo on China and Ukraine war but can't deny how beautiful of a couple they were. Only met them online in his videos and felt that vibe of the people who've been together for years but still have that childish spark in them, the fun, the optimism.

I've been watching his videos for a few years and just learned about her death the other day. Its heart breaking, she really lit a light in his soul and you could tell through his videos.

Thank you for sharing,😢so sorry you lost a good friend but she's not hurting anymore and she will be missed I'm glad you were able to say goodbye while she was able to be herself even though you didn't know that would be your final goodbye for now. Don't worry her sprit is still alive.
When I first heard the news from Gweilo60 CZcams I felt sad because Weifang is truly a nice person and I also learnt she had great impact on Kirk’s business. It also triggered me to think about life especially my work and re-organise my priorities for better life ahead.
Thanks for putting out such a caring and thoughtful video about my stepmom. Im glad my dad has a good friend like you.

As a subscriber, I have been joking around and left comments on both Gweilo's and your channels for the past couple of years. I really loved your impersonation of Kirk's way of talking. But the recent updates from Gweilo, and the sad news of WeiFang, left me in deep sadness... Seeing her go, it's like losing a dearest family member of my own. I didn't have the courage to leave a proper message on Kirk's channel, cuz it's too sad to say anything. Matt, maybe before Gweilo goes back to China, you, Annie and Eva could go to Canada for a short trip and visit Kirk for us. JaYoe Nation can surely cheer our Captain Kirk up. 🙏❤
I felt I had to watch this - just to keep in touch with all those Gweilo videos and the closeness and familiarizations that stem from watching them - but damn it !! you have me with tears in my eyes - again !
