    This is actually really well compiled, even though a number of people don't seem to get it: the video features shots of 100+ mph (=161+ kph) in ascending order by speed. It's a nice build-up, obviously accelerating towards the end. A lot of fastest shots videos are disappointing in that they're full of 80 to 90 mph shots, which don't really deserve to be in an annual shortlist.

    Given how much Miami is featured here I’m thinking the speed gun might be a bit broken at that event, or the climate and conditions allow the ball to travel through the air faster.
    Also given how there’s little to no Djokovic, Nadal, Medvedev, Zverev and Tsitsipas in here, it shows that you don’t need to hit hard to be very successful

    • @dpa71999
      @dpa71999 Před 2 lety +1

      Miami courts are slow but the heat might lead to ball to travel faster through the air. But the court is definitely sloe

    • @ehrenamtlicherehrenmann4152
      @ehrenamtlicherehrenmann4152 Před 2 lety +3

      I always think that you cant hit that hard but then there are Monfils, Bublik and Ruud who hit even faster on clay or other courts. I dont think it was broken, just the players adjusting to the courts. You have to hit harder on a slower court to hit a winner.

    • @anustart-loveeachother7680
      @anustart-loveeachother7680 Před 2 lety +4

      They are in order, the speeds of the shots gradually go up as the video progresses. They just decided to start it at 100 mph. Faster shots just become less likely, there’s probably like 5000+ winners at 145 kph a year, like 30 at 161kph and like 5 at exactly 170 a year, the lower speeds are just more likely and happen more often…
