Guys, she is referring to the writer's insistent emphasis on creating happy female characters. Girls are always smiling dancing and being upbeat dolls. It's annoying. We want nuanced female characters with layers.

Prajakta did not play a nuanced character with layers. This was the most basic female indian. And there are real girls that are bubbly and happy . Dimple has no layers in the series . And dimple is really selfish not relatable

one thing bad about dimpal character was this that,she was shown stubborn and selfish,while they intended to show her ambitious.Plus in the second series they completely diverted from coding and it was hardly even mentioned.Plus coding Wale log sirf app hi nahi banate.Thora research kar lete regarding computer science field.It would have been more realistic and relatable then

Women in commercial mainstream hindi cinema are generally shown talkative, bubbly, beatiful love interest, to entertain the audience and that's it.( For eg, from Basanti to KKKG, gajhani to Singham to Dhoom)
but the hero does main/ crucial role in the end.
But in real life, not all women are bubbly but still are attractive or sheroes in their lives.
Women can be bubbly but that's not the only trait.

She is pointing out how girls are usually seen and shown as always upbeat in movies/dramas. She found it refreshing that a female character was not written from a male gaze point of view. Don't be so judgmental you fool. Research how most female characters are created in Bollywood and Hollywood before you become a keyboard warrior.
i think what she meant to say is we r tired of being projected as the lively , cheery happy beautiful soft love interest to the heroes, we too want depth of characters, this is one reason i stopped watching bolly romance, take the script of an OTT series, they add so much depth to a female character

Am not a fan of her...but would like to clarify its not an issue of being called bubbly or anything the problem which she couldn't describe is all about not different personalities are written when its about female characters. Like not every girl has a perosnality of happy go lucky or bubbly, there are diffrent peronsalies in girls as well but they are not penned down that much...like if am an introvert, so I relate to the character but then am not selfish so I don't relate at times, so everybody wants to see diffrent kinds of personalities in female characters to be written because not all the girls are bubbly or whatever the indian entertainment industry shows.
