I was born in 99 so I grew up with their old music. My older brother listened to them all the time when I was a little kid and I love their music to this day. Green Day had literally been the corner stone for how I want to live my life for so long. I've found what works for me personally but the influence is still there

To me, this song is great. Nothing wrong about it, but if you actually enjoy green days real punk shit like me (kerplunk, dookie, insomniac, etc...) then bang bang is definitely the way to go. My guess is for Bang Bang a big part of it was simply it was the first one. Anyone who had any modicum of interest in Green Day coming back would listen. I'm sure some people listened, didn't like it, then proceeded to not care about the other releases. As per Revolution Radio and Still Breathing, I feel like Still Breathing leaves a bigger emotional punch. Still Breathing is easy to empathize with for anyone dealing with struggles, whether it be depression, illness, being poor, etc. Revolution Radio is more political, and only so many people pay attention to that kind of thing.
