What a beauty! That's one of the liveries I've been wanting to see in flight. Definitely one of my favorites on the 787.

This departs while AA's Dreamliner sits on the sidelines. They really have to get those seats FAA approved, I really want to American's 787 start service with in the next month.

What's the matter with the seats?
As told my an AA pilot that I know, the business class seats are not FAA Safety approved. This is a small part to the delay. Even still, once it is actually delivered to AA, it's not even going to fly passenger routes. The flight crews and maintenance will use the aircraft for training and familiarization. Then it will start service from KDFW to KORD. Eventually, it will fly from KJFK to LFPG. There are quite a few more Dreamliner's to come for American. The -9's are coming in around 3 or 4th quarter of 2015.
I was told , because I work on the flight line, American Airlines does not Like Zodiac and the problems they have. we would not have Delivered that airplane if it was not FAA approved.
American has 3 Dreamliners on hardstand and in the hanger at KDFW now. They should be running scheduled flights with in the next month.

Really pissed me off today. It left early I suppose.... I stood out on the hill for 30 minutes... I was there right at 11:04 and it was scheduled for 11:10 flight aware said...
