One thing i love about this show vs the old show is that this seems for focused on the "meat" of a discussion, and doubles down on making those discussions deep and not surface level fan service like many other podcasts do.
Thank you, Michelle for putting all that water back into the well for SAG / AFTRA . It matters now and it will matter for actors for years to come.

What I love about this is that it's not really about star trek. It's more about the person's life and journey. Brilliant stuff!
This has quickly become my favourite "actor turned podcast host"-show! I have listened to a bunch of them, but this one is so personal and more of an interesting conversation than anything else. I love it!
Imagine the energy in the room if you had added Jeri Ryan as wel, together with Michelle there is so much chemistryl! And I really hope that she is coming on the show in the future as well!

Mrs. Hurd is an incredible human being, a wonderful Queen , and a very fierce person for human rights, her talents as an actress is on par with anyone out there today . And most of all she is totally humble . There are a few people that walk on this planet that you wish everyone could have just a little bit of what these folks have to make everyone those people already have . Thank you again Mrs. Hurd and continue success and prosperity to you.

It was bugging me where I had seen this woman before, and then you said it, the SAG live episode.
I am totally mesmerised by her hair. Dom also has fabulous hair, this was definitely a top hair trek show!
It's great we had a Michelle and a Nichelle on the telly. Seems fitting. She obviously gives 100% to everything.

Happy Valley is excellent. I applaud any series that lets a main character go batshit crazy pouring gasoline on a villain and almost lighting them on fire.

Great conversation ABOUT Star Trek
I would happily have watched a whole show based around Worf and Raffi. The whole third season of Picard was amazing to me. My only complaint was that it wasn't a hundred or so episodes!
There's one tiny part of a scene in that season that's always stayed with me... it doesn't reflect anything in my life, but I just thought it was an impeccable combination of writing and acting that I'm sure few even remember. It's when Raffi meets up with her ex, and he asks if she's 'clean' now, and Raffi replies something like "I work for Starfleet now, I have to be"... then after the shortest of pauses, realises that this isn't the best way to answer, and corrects herself, desperately trying to improve her otherwise flawed image and adds "I want to be". Again, I've no idea why I remember that so much, other than it was one of those moments that says so much about the character, what she's thinking, and about the relationship with the ex, and the importance of answering the question 'correctly'. Great moment, great show, one of the best Trek seasons ever for me. I hope we get to see the further adventures of Raffi and Seven, and what looks like a great interaction/relationship between them and Picard's son.

This was interesting and insightful hearing the behind the scenes stories of the writers strike and some of the details on what was being asked of and what are the final results. The mileage thing on driving for actors is not something I knew was being negotiated.
Oh wow I remember a Showtime series called Leap Years, it used to come in after Queer As Folk, where Michelle and Garrett characters were together. I didn't know they were married in real life.
I was out with the fam for my husband and it's 17th anniversary so I missed the live this week!

The Problem with Raffi. Before her Character there Was NO Addiction on earth in the Star Trek Universe. It was one of the things that was cured along with War & religion & poverty. It was the one place that people with Addiction in their lives could escape to- somewhere that was a better future with no addiction. STAR TREK Picard took that away. Seeing the issue dealt with through allegory & alien species was ok because. Our World was still free from it. The future was bright. There was hope. People don't watch Star Trek to see people struggle with their contemporary issues- that's what EVERY Other Show does. These people do not know what Star trek Was & What Made it special. And piece by piece they have taken that all away just to try to appeal to the general audience with contemporary issues. The general audience isn't able to see that vision Gene Roddenberry created, they are small minded & these small minded producers keep making the Star Trek universe smaller for them & the Real Fans who see & believe that vision miss out, seeing that world slowly torn down & that future erased.

Why did you guys change?
Thank God for Picard season 3, which she was great in and redeemed her character. But the first two seasons are insultingly bad.
So, am I understanding that to be a certified cosmetologist in California, one does NOT need to study how to work with the hair of non-Whites? That's unacceptable.
If Enterprise had a proper musical theme, it would have lasted 2 more seasons. Still 100X better than "Picard," which was terrible television.
What's with all the bleeping of swearing? Is that a CZcams mandate?
CZcams is less likely to recommend videos that feature a lot of swearing, primarily because it's something advertisers don't want to be associated with. I've seen a lot of channels that didn't care about swearing in the past slowly start to adopt similar policies over the past year.
