After all these years I never knew this was a cover of Danial Miller's 'The Normal'! This version still the best obviously... What a lovely picture of Grace Jones.
I remember seeing Graces album pictures (especially Slave to the Rhythm) and wondering who this strange person is since they were so somewhere else to me, hearing the music now with these album pictures accompanying them is refreshing.
So 3 days ago I hear the original in a BBC comedy short. Get to last night and hear this version in Mindhunter on Netflix lol. Never heard either until this week ! Sweet XD
She did have a stage routine where several dancers who were made to look like her followed her moves. It was like mannequins that came to life. So you’re not off-course. 🙂
