Handy tip on putting the factory tie down rings on the hardtop. 👍🏻 Word of caution on leaving the back floor mats on - if for any reason the rug gets wet back there, like a water crossing, those floor mats will not let the bottom rug dry out. Learned the hard way and I took them out when I did my build.

We have never had a water ingress yet but I pretty careful. Before we cross any bigger than a big puddle I walk the crossing, I wipe then spray all door seals with silicone spray, A/C off, All windows up, Fan on high. I guess we have been lucky? Thank you, I will keep an eye on that... Mark

I like the tip about the tie downs being repurposed! If you are ever on Vancouver Island, I would love to see your set up first hand!

Great video Mark! I’m currently building a similar system for my Jeep and have found this video very helpful. Happy travels!

So agree with the removal of the subwoofer, and I don't even own a Jeep (yet)

Can you talk about the yellow top battery, and how this is used in your system? Also, what is the purpose of the three different plugs?

Mark can I ask the location that your lady was standing over looking that red rock canyon with twisty road up

Hi Mark, where do you set up your rooftop tent when your out on the road and not in national parks or any public lands. I just want to stop and get 8 hours of sleep and make a bite to eat. You can’t just stop at Walmart?
    Thanks for your advice.
    Bob

Gaia GPS & iOverlander are your best friends! We have never not found a reasonable spot. Planning ahead helps. Also, asking locals at a gas station or convenience stores can help... Mark
