The official European sites of Super Mario 3D World feature a short description of Plessie in which it is stated to be a dinosaur, referring to it as a male in languages where the term dinosaur is typically male. However, in the German translation of the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia, where Plessie's species is not stated, it is referred to as being female.

So...I guess that would mean it would have to be up to interpretation then, yes?
I guess I'd say male since Plessie doesn't quite display typical female Mario character traits like a "feminine" color or having eyelashes or having "flirtatious" animations (like winking or blowing kisses) if that makes sense.

I always love when games do stuff like this. It's always so cool exploring giant stuff. Like that one Mario galaxy level where everything is huge, is one of my favourite worlds in the game

I believe Plessie is referred to as a she, as the loch ness monster "Nessie" whom Plessie's name comes from is very commonly referred to as female.
the trivia section of the wiki on Plessie also leads to a german encyclopedia, where there is a single line referring to Plessie as a she. The wiki also explains that Plessie is referred to as a male in languages where dinosaur is a male noun... I feel of the two the female one has more ground, as being a dinosaur does not mean being male in most languages.

Hear me out okay. Good/bad Idea, What if enemies could use uncollected powerups that just lie around. Example: Goomba uses cat bell turns into a bowsers fury Goomba or a different design, that can climb walls and scratch.

you could play Super Bell Hill as Luigi so we could see what happens if you collect a mega mushroom. You would probably be normal-sized.

The part of Killysunt's video that I pulled this quote from starts at about 12:38 of HIS video on Wii Music corruptions, not MAYRO's video here about increasing the size of stages and modules in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Want to know how I know this is the switch re-release of the game? Easy, two things, the look of the box in the bottom left where extra items are stored while an item is being stored, and the fact that snapshot mode is a thing in the game. I know this because literally I own the game. Not that big of a deal, I know, but still, just wanted to point that in-game detail out is all.
Edit: I hadn't fully watched through the entirety of the video at the time I posted the rest of this comment, so I didn't know that, later in the video, he directly specified that he was playing on the switch, or that he said that if you had already modded your switch, you could download this mod via a link in the description. I'm pretty sure Plessie's called "he" in some official material. I don't really have a source for that, but I do remember seeing it.
Plessie's sex is never stated anywhere but in the german translation of the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia it is refered to as female. In some languages Plessie is refered to as male but that's because the word 'dinorsaur' is male in those languages. Although Plessie is based of a plesiosaur, which aren't dinosaurs.
Idk if this would be lame but you should try to beat the levels in 3d world backwards. You could move the flagpoles to the beginning of the level and make it so you spawn at what would originally be the end. I'm not entirely sure how this modding stuff works lol but there you go

The spacing between walking/movement cycle are the same so things like the Beatles and bricks clip into each other
Just so you know (you guys probably already know because I have a IQ of 7) Diving gets you further and a tiny bit higher so you maybe could of made it to the mega mushroom with toad, and also Ground Pounding then jumping up sometimes (if you hold B) gets you higher then a spin Jump
