I read an article about some guys dive trip to the Carolinas years ago I think before Facebook even and read where they were zip tying the lobsters they caught because they were too big to really fit in a bag.

I wasn’t teaching him just keeping him on track for times in that deeper water. He wasn’t used to running a computer and having to keep track of bottom time. That and this was one of my buddies that we were riding with.
@@jasonbihari I know you weren’t teaching him, I follow him and know he’s not a newbie 😂 !! But I see your expertise and although I have been doing diving for a couple of years!! spearfishing is a new hobby.
I’m not sure what mask it is was just one I had and got a mount that zip ties to it. Got the mount on Amazon but you have to have a split frame where you can slide the zip tie under the bridge of the frame.
Nice work. At the start I was having trouble figuring out what dive this was. I thought it was from the second day. But when you said Gabe saw a gag and the chase was on then I knew where it was. That was a new spot. And I marked the piece you guys chased the gag to. I like that swim through where it stopped. Def have the check that spot in the fall . The place I dropped you is the place I shot my first NC mutton so it’s a good area.
Over the years of diving with a bunch of different people I have come to realize I’m actually pretty slow but it seems to work for me. The funny part about all of that is a few years ago I actually had someone say they didn’t want to dive with me because I was running all over the place shooting all the fish and he was telling this to the old guy that taught me how to dive and he just shook his head and said no that’s not how he dives.

Really like the idea of zip tie lobster to the stringer over carrying a parachute in the current. Haven't seen that before.

I have never tried the bags. Parachute is the perfect way to describe it too. Ha.

Lots of fry bait at the drop. The gags really like that.
