As an ESFP I love this description. I hate that people label us as party animals. You calling ESFPs as conquerors that thrive in chaos really made me smile.
But you gotta admit, we sure do know how to party.... hahaha (as well).
I'm not a party Animal or class clown. I don't NEED to be the Center of attention 🤔
Butttttt, I can surely entertain a Crowd. 😉
@@luckyjasonfan thank you, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. I thought that ESFPs needed to be the center of attention. I can relax now.
@@ammarkhalil34v You're welcome 😊
You labeled yourself with many things, how can you be resistant when someone labels you as well, it's all just games of fictional identities
As an INTP my ESFP friend always regards me as a highly evolved intellectual being and praises me for bringing good grades 'effortlessly'.
I on the other hand am actually the one who's jealous of her for the fact that she's got all the first-hand experiences and wisdom due to her constant interaction with the more concrete and real world. She's got all the skills and stuffs that's actually required for a living.
Also she's hot.

As an INTP, I think ESFPs are probably my favorite sensor type. I should probably mention that they have great artistic skills and musical ability.
I would also like to see you do something on ISFPs who I think are an extremely interesting type. I'd like to see you touch on how ESFPs are often very energetic and optimistic where as ISFPs are often kind of sullen and pessimistic.
My brother is an ESFP while I am an INTP. He acted as my bridge to reality. Introducing me to music, communities, and ideals that I could not have found myself.
@@danielb840 That's what I like about the ESFP type.
my best friend is an INTP and I am an esfp. I find INTP is a really good friend and funny. I am really comfortable with whatever it is
SDB4202012 well THANK you! lol. I've read that INTP and ESFP are incompatible but I'm in a relationship with an INTP and I can say there's definitely a sense of balance and harmony there.
My sis is an ESFP, she likes to play but she’s one of THE MOST hardworking people I know! She gives her all to everything she does. She is committed, & fierce in defending & standing up for others. She’s also a free spirit & very authentic to herself :)
She also gets super bored when I (infp) & other sis (infj) engage in long conversations on academic topics & gets super bored at museums ^^
Yeah my brother is ESFP and I'm an INFJ, we love each other but he makes me raise an eyebrow and I make him bored and have to try and focus.
Esfp here, about to conquer this beer.

This is a beautiful representation of the ESFP...so underrated - like most sensors, if you ask me.
I agree so much with this. An ESFP can be very immature, but the mature ESFP is exactly this. I tell people I don't always like the portrayal of ESFP's on sites because they talk about the immature ESFP a lot of the time. But as a mature ESPP, I know the strength that can come with everything talked about here. Also, understanding the struggles in dealing with some our "N" friends and family and neighbors.. thats very real too haha
"I'm mature". Said who? Said me. Oneself is not a good gauge, ask people surrounding you who have to deal with you on a regulae basis.
As an INFJ, I find ESFP fascinating. They aren’t really my cup of tea but sometimes I wish I had more of their traits.
Fr, I've been talking to one for weeks and it's so amazing how diferent our traits are, so diferent that I don't know how are we still talking lol.

Finally, a flattering explanation of ESFPs!
5:18 "Tendency to look for hidden meanings and patterns, often where there aren't any" Oh I guarantee I will find a hidden meaning and pattern in anything you talk about! There are never not there. I can tell you aren't Ni dom! - INFJ
Thundercloud Entertainment bahaha - I was thinking the same! You cracked me up. (Fellow INFJ).

YEAH LET'S DO THAT to ease our endless suffering
We drive each other crazy- estp
Your Se / Ni description is spot on. I gather - Se, I analyze - Ti, I synthesize - Ni. Not always a fast process but my shit works, or is aesthetically pleasing.
Side note beware convincing an ESFP their an ESFP if they don't resonate with the limited mbti desscriptions
My ESFP will have a meltdown if I mention anything type related to her...even if it's not about her. smh lol
My ESFP hasn't even read the descriptions. She just doesn't want to be put in a box LOL
Same goes for many Sensor types
@@heatherbryant4197 I can imagine it being extra hard with ESFP. Even enfp's sometimes have this resistance against being boxed....so being both sensor + PORL Ti must make it the most challenging thing ever
@@PowerRedBullTypology True. Yeah, I definitely understand the resistance to the Ti PoLR "diagnosis" due to its associations. I think we all tacitly understand that ESFPs are commonly regarded as the stupidest type, however untrue it may be. It's the elephant in the room. I always associate that resistance to being "put in a box" with Fi, though I can't remember exactly how I first arrived at that conclusion. It seems more common for Fi types to never be fully satisfied with typings and type descriptions. They feel it doesn't resonate with their identity as closely as they were hoping or doesn't pay homage to their individuality enough. This could also be an enneagram 4 thing, which is likewise correlated with Fi though.
This video is fantastic and refreshing. 10/10
Thank you for this video. It’s enlightening, refreshing and intelligent. I’ve been waiting for your take on the ESFP for a while and I’m not disappointed!
Good work with the thumbnail picture! Very aesthetic, and of course the video was interesting, Nathan. I liked the part where you said something about taking ESFPs advice into account more than theoretical minded people. It was logically put 👏🏻👏🏻
ESFPs are badasses and nice. What a combo! On a personal level, I find them very appealing.
Thank you! My mom seems to be an ESFP and so far the descriptions of them that I've seen have been somewhat accurate, but shallow. This description showed a depth to them that I know they have, but had yet to have explained. You're awesome!
too funny, Homer Simpson at end of the day believes he will get his donuts.
Finally someone described me 100% :)! Great job! I don't want everything and I am mostly smiley kind optimistic person but when I do want to finish something or I feel that something is wrong, It will happen.
One of the best typology channels, hands down. One of my top two favorites.
underrated- i feel that- i got to MBTI type memes and i see like no esfp's lmao
As an ESFP we are really amazing at feelings particularly, our intuition is extremely high with a dangerous level of accuracy, we are open, we love life, people and things, we are supernova types, you just have to find us. We can look at something and pin point exactly what it means, if you have a fear or feeling you can’t describe, then we can understand your “I’m not sure how I feel” “I don’t know how to describe it.” THATS us, and I love me so much. Though we thrive on chaos we are highly organized especially if left to our own devices. And it’s awesome
Good video. I agree about trusting a dominant Se over an intuitive type for practical advice. As a primary Ni type myself, confidence stems from contingency plans which is unsettling for some.
as an infp, i really have a thing for esfp's 😔👍 i find them to be really genuine and spontaneous, i love it
YES ME TOO, literally! i am also infp and i love esfps. i think my crush might be esfp as well
Ayyy INFP that's just started dating an ESFP here! 😊 Any advice for someone less familiar with them?
As an infp, i dislike my esfp friend. A LOT

Yes they're cool but hard to deal with them.
6:00 is a good note. I really prefer the way you interpret mbti than almost all other mbti channels I watch.
TheRealHerbaSchmurba Indeed
These are such great videos, thank you.
Isfp: listens to music they identify with and find some part of themselves in
Esfp: likes music they can dance to, that empowers them and makes them feel GOOD.
I'm an isfp and I really like esfps. They bring something out in me that I sometimes neglect. Although, I get the vibe like they are constantly avoiding something... Like.. like they know people are expecting something from them, and they want to ignore it at all costs lol. Idk what it is though. They can also he very assuming and judgemental at times but that might be personal experience.
@@destroyerz123 idk if that's it... I think when they know people are watching it makes them feel good but it's not like a validation thing I've noticed... it's weirdly complex, like they can't grasp something within themselves without help
woah this sounds like something i subconsciously do.. can you give an example?
@@milkteaful they have repressed subconscious ideal states of being and attention sometimes helps with that. I think thats inherently pretty genuine and fits with fi. They are trying to be who they are not the opposite like youd see with someone merely seeking attention for its own sake. Although as an isfp, i do like attention.
I'm envy to all Se-dom. Maybe in mbti/meme world they're underrated, but in real life actually they are the best confidently human to fight any bad reality and their bad anxiety.
Hey Nathan, thank you so much for making this video. My sister is struggling with her mental health right now and I'm trying to understand her mind through whatever ways I can. She's an ENFP and I'm an INFJ. I strongly see her in your description of ESFPs and I think I understand her mind and motivations a little bit more. Thank you 💞
You're so right. My sister always told me that I'm right when I have certain "feeling" for people. When I foreshadow their intention, after that they seems to revelead for they are.

Esfp is the happier naturally but doesnt mean we didn't feel bad or suffer. Thanks
Very cool. And I concur.
Im an ENTP and my dad is an ESFP. Super fun for a few hours but after a few hours the ENTP ESFP crash becomes real. You do not argue with my dad and as an ENTP who likes to challenge ideas and it becomes a real power struggle between types.
He can be the most fun person on the planet and I have heard some insane stories from his friends and people he knows, and he knows everyone and everyone knows him lol. One person told me (This is no joke) that he had, while being sober according to this person. Rolled down the window while he was in the passanger seat, stood up and he pulled down his pants and underwear for the world to see.
Another time, in school we had this this assistant who one time gave a story time about the first time he met my dad in front of a bunch of my classmates and me. He knew my dad, bc my dad knows everyone like I said, and told a story (im gonna repeat again, Infront of my classmates) about when my dad had pretended to be severely mentaly ill and have tourettes syndrome to scare him as a joke. He said he was scared of my dad a while after that before he realized he had been pranked.
On a school trip my dad had decided he wanted to go, this was in 6th grade. They has asked if there were a few parents who wanted to come so there could be more adults to keep in check of the kids. In each car there were two adults so they could switch driver, it was a long drive. The teachers had decided to to put my dad in the same car with this mom who was also super outgoing and a bit crazy. This mom and my dad were known by the kids and the teachers as being "The fun parent" Idk what the teachers were thinking putting them in the same car but every single kid wanted to ride with my dad and this mom. The kids were so upset the teachers had to make the decition that for each stop we had to swich car so everyone could ride in the same car as my dad and this mom. My dad and this mom convinced a kid in the car to pull down his pants and put his butt against the window while we were driving past the car were one of the teachers were driving.
My dad def comes up with the most outrageus ideas, he is the fun dad. But I have been with him to work and he is a savage group leader. He has this intense no bullshit attitude and he can't stand my philospical disscutions, he will get downright mad if you mention anything the he thinks is "Fluffy" and getting the work done is important and getting shit done ,while having fun.
When you said that an ESFP might be the right person to have when shit hits the fan, I totaly agree. My dads no bullshit type of attitude and his ability to think on the fly and living in the moment is always what I need when my ENTP brain has truble living in the moment. I think very quickly and can think on the fly, but my dads ability to completley focus on the practical and living in the moment is very useful when I get way to theoretical. Hanging out with my dad is always so relaxing and uncomplicated, however after a while it can crash. We are both very intense people, so if we are in the same room for to long there is this friction kind of builds that sometimes explodes into a huge argument. I am my dads daughter 100%, more than my moms daughter. If I have problem I will go to my dad everytime and he solves the problem instantly.
I was married to a man who was an ESFP (some chance he may have been an ISFP but he tested ESFP). I’m ENTP. I think the dynamic being different helped us. There was really no question in our relationship who was the logical one, who was making that sort of decision, and who was in charge of the day-to-day stuff (since I have no interest in being in charge of what was in the fridge and such).
Although we are no longer married, there were a lot of life stuff as opposed to compatibility that is behind that and we were together many years happily. I can think of many things I did admire about him. But one anecdote stands out. We were moving across continents from a major European city. I was the first one flying out at the crack of dawn one day and my (then) husband was coming with me to the airport. We had been living there for several years so had a lot of belongings. I had with me that day three suitcases, plus a pet in a huge airline sized carriage, and we could not afford any delays!
We had hired a car service days earlier, as we usually did, but as it happened, this particular day, early hours of the morning, the driver decided to take us further out of the way to a remote location and asked for more money. Of course, I started to work the mouth and started arguing with the man, mainly to suss out how dangerous/serious he was, as well as to buy us some time. I was threatening to call the main office and tell on him (fees to airports were fixed and he was asking above that and this being a reasonably reputable car service I’d figured he was acting alone in this). He said good luck the main office wasn’t open yet. Was he bluffing? Should I call?
Just then, my ex husband - and I still to this day don’t know how he acted so quickly and how he was not scared - reached all the way from the backseat and grabbed the keys from the ignition!! I don’t remember all the details from here but the men got out of the car. I got out shortly after.. it was a sort of standstill. My husband had the keys. The driver however got in front of the trunk of the vehicle so we had no access to our luggage and more importantly, our pet. We were in the middle of nowhere with this distressed, now furious man, who may have a knife for all we know! After a while, we all reluctantly made an agreement and got back in the car.I don’t remember the specifics, even though, of course it was me who (logically) negotiated the terms. My ex moved to the front seat and I think kept some of his keys (or maybe his drivers license) until we were dropped off at the airport at the right terminal or something similar.
I do remember the driver asking as his part of the deal that I was to stop talking the rest of the way! 🤣 But then, *he* couldn’t let it go and kept talking out loud every few minutes about what a bitch I was and whatnot and things would get tense all over again! (Not only did he not like me for me, but he was directing all of his frustration that he had been bested by my ex about the keys to me too🙄), which led to me responding (well, it made no sense to blame me for that and I had a hard time with irrational stuff, you know…), and also led to my ex defending me (with only a few with words and maybe a firm jingling of the keys), heavy sigh from the driver, a sigh letting go of a failed plan, but he couldn’t let go. Rinse and repeat. I did make my flight in the end… ESFP saved the day, quite literally!
Edit: I wonder what type that driver was… 🧐
This is the sweetest thing i read today
I'm an ESFP, and this is perfect.
I dunno why, but I really like the way you make your videos, they seem...straight forward, accurate, highly informative and involving, and they seem to just keep me pulled in and wanting to watch more, which is why I've binged a few series on this channel. You are my favorite MBTI centered channel, and I've turned on notifications.
I also for some reason want to tell what my main friend group's personality types are.
We have...an ENFP, ESFP(me), ISTP(one of my bffs/face of the group), INTJ(second in command), ESTP, and an INFP.
I am apparently, according to the ISTP, the "heartbeat" of our group. He's very cool and fun to be around. Kinda mysterious too. And whether they like it or not, I'm going to try and keep the group alive and happy. The INTJ, is the mind of the group and the "leader", cause he's the smartest. Whenever the ISTP isn't at school, everything is off, and usually low, cause ye they're my best friend. But I do have the INTJ and INFP there, so I'm fine. I have been friends with them all for many a year now, and hopefully will be forever.
When the ISTP said that he was moving houses, I thought immediately that he was moving like halfway across the U.S. and got very worried.
I brought it up with him when he said he was moving, and he reassured me that he will be at the school still, and he is actually probably moving CLOSER to the school.
So, I sighed in relief.
My friends are my family, if they leave, well, really "I" leave. In the metaphorical sense. As probably my near endlessly shining spirit would probably die out.
Sad, ye, but they're mah family, and my family is my life.
Now, I probably need to sleep, so goodnight.
Thank you for this comment! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. ~ Nathan

ESFP's everyone's other favorite lovable rogue's
Well, as an INTJ who once had an ESFP boss (yes, talk about irony and bad luck), I can testify that they get less credit than they deserve. However, my God, it was hell. She would not keep any agreement at all and making one with her was almost impossible to begin with, since she simply refused to set herself any kind of "future boundary". For most of the time, I'd feel like I was talking to a door and there were many times in which many colleagues, including some who were close friends to her, would try to help me make her understand that what she was setting us to do simply didn't make sense. We lived in a cycle that went like this: get order -> realize order would screw things up -> try to explain the situation -> get an answer in the form "How do you know that will happen?" -> see things fail -> see boss not realize we were talking precisely about what happened -> repeat. She was certainly an undeveloped and unhealthy ESFP, but it really goes to show the bad side of the aspects you brought up here. After some time, I just gave up and got another job
From Linda Berens: Over the last four years, in the MBTI® Qualifying Programs, advanced programs and elsewhere, we found a disproportionate number of people who had reported preferences for the iNtuiting process while their behaviors seemed to resemble the Artisan-SP temperament pattern. This raised some questions such as: What is the relationship between temperament and Jung’s typology?
Extraverted Sensing - Notices the rich detail in the whole forest - the trees, their color and texture, their sounds, their smells, the pattern of light and dark…Introverted Sensing - Notes that this forest has always been here and recalls being in a forest from childhood, smelling that smell and the fun of playing hide and seek behind the trees…Extraverted iNtuiting - Thinks of the fractal patterns, the wide range of possibilities in the forest, how this forest is part of the ecosystem and is affected by polllution from the city…
Introverted iNtuiting - Recognizes that the forest is deeply symbolic of all of life in its interconnectedness and constant recycling and growth and foresees that this forest will soon be torn down for a housing development…

Esfps make excellent doctors. Especially ER docs.
Le Cordon Bleu Chef, RISD Artist, Guess Model, Korean Airline Stewardess.
Falling in love with them were like drugs to me - INTJ.
It always ends up with their emotional outbursts tho.
It was all about how they felt. Which can change completely dependent on an instant illogically.
learning something more about yourself is amazing
"let's start a support group" 😂 love your brand of humour.
As an esfp i would say that im really uncomfortable confronting the unknown. I like to be in control of my life and fear the uncertainity ,this is totally ironic. Also esfps have a way to get things done acc. to their way but i don't .
Dude you literally edit yourself for each 5 seconds
for real like do you just ramble for hours for each 5 min video and try to narrow it down by sentence 😂
I kinda totally like the effect it brings about... In fact, the abruptness accentuates key points and makes it both lively & edgy to watch. )
Lol now I’m having trouble focusing on what he’s saying cuz of how many times it cuts. The way he sounds is so smooth though, like I wouldn’t have noticed anything if I was only listening haha
most youtubers do that, it helps keep the flow.
Thanks you so much for this
Talking to a very bright fem in an ENFP group, she was telling me she goes with feeling over logic, so I thought that's not me. As we kept talking, however, she explained to me that by feelings she doesn't mean it as in "You are hurting me by not agreeing with me, even though I am wrong." sort of feelings that many people employ- only she used other words- but, she meant "gut feeling". To me, that's just the impetus to look for the facts that prove why it exists, so I know it is called "feeling", but, more physical than emotional. (sigh) Life is very complicated.
Yes we are underrated indeed. I finally found out that I am actually an ESFP. But I can relate a lot with the ESTP as well. We actually do anything to predict the future when it comes to long time goals.
This is so very accurate. My dad is an ESFP (figured out after much deliberation he was definitely not an INFP even if he reminds me of Johnny Depp and tested as INFP on 16 personalities lol). But I think it’s part of why ESFPs unnerve me more than any other type.
That literally happened to me my friends tell me I am definitely an esfp so I just did the test again after getting infp and got esfp
Great video!!!! So spot on #SeRockS
0:11 In chess a pawn reaching the far rank may be promoted to a kNight, which has certain advantages: as a kNight it may deliver a check to the opposing King (immediately) in situations wherein a Queen, not to mention a Bishop or Rook, does not. This is usually done when it's most likely to be captured right-away.
I'd love to know if you have, or would consider doing a video addressing how our character influences our personality type? Do you believe that character is synonymous with type? Thank you.
Ans as an INTP this explains why I'm so absolutely fascinated with my wife. She loves a goof time but gd is she smart. I never know what she's gonna do and usually it works out. I'm endlessly impressed with her ability to roll with the punches, and how she can meet me half way on a lot of my ridiculous ideas. She's so supportive and understanding, and we get to be weird together. ❤❤❤

Did you mean "dark, pretty eyes" or "very dark eyes"?
I think I might be an ESFP I just don’t personally relate to the ‘party animal’ part since I’m religious which makes me unsure if I rlly am able to be an ESFP lolol
Party animal is just a stereotype, you don't have to fit into it to be ESFP, since I am also religious and ESFP

Thank you soo much!
Awesome video! Would you mind doing a video on the ISFP mind? Theres not much info available and Id like to hear your take
ISFPs are just shyer, more individualistic ESFPs. A new video probably isn’t that necessary.
People forget that ESFPs have the same functions as xNTJs. They can conquer the world if they find it worthwhile.
And if they can shut up for more than five waking seconds. SF (ISFJs not so much, obv’s.) and outgoing ST types in general just babble on and on and on without ever seeming to get the cue to stop talking. Living with then is a nightmare.
I think Robert Barrathian is a good example of esfp he in a big way defeated the mad king and took the throne but had no idea what to do with it hence him spending most of his time parting
GOD that intro music is so good *chefs kiss*
I call tertiary Te the hidden batch slap...in other words, ESFPs can be surprisingly bossy.
Yes, but in my experience, few regard their decisions as intelligent.
This helped remodulate my views of iNtuitives as well.
Hoy geez, I have been at a loss to type my ex, because he is NPD, and they survive by absorbing other people’s personalities-the one who scores “equally” across categories on personality tests…and lately I have been wondering how our children could type as poor relational matches for me (per MBTI), so I have been looking back into all of this. This so far appears to be the best match, and tracks with the types my girls ended up with and the stark reasons he and I butted heads. 😮
I’m an ENFP with an ESFP bestie that I’ve known for 30 years (she’s more like a sister). She is fun, but she’s also hardworking, loyal, kind and organised. I sometimes get a little fed up with the ESFP stereotype. But then I guess all personalities lose a little in their stereotype translation.
Great video as always
as a taurus esfp this is so amazing because yes esfps are underrated and people are usually overwhelmed by us because we're so loud and open :)
Sameee I am a Taurus and an ESFP both are underrated tbh
Interesting! You think Lu is an ESFP? I’ve always thought I’ve seen the Fe with Lu. But the Fi is something I can definitely see now. Perhaps I need to meet more ESFPs! This makes me question my dad’s type again. 🤣 Then again, I bet the gender of ESFPs can massively alter the way their presence comes across.
Great point about their insights having a great deal of weight.
Funny the Se distrust of intuition. In my experience with Ni, if I’m not shy with any other type, I am very shy around ESFPs. Overly self-conscious. Scared of moving the wrong way and being noticed doing so. Scared of clothing fails. The list of paranoid weirdness goes on. Not a reaction I have with ESTPs bc even if they notice, sensor awkwardness doesn’t matter to them, they just think it’s a little funny. 😅🤣
Hey, thank you.
I am quiet but not shy. I just do not trust you to understand me or want to act like you know what you are talking about when I am paying attention to your body language and very suddenly come to the conclusion that I am wasting my brain cells listening to you. Not sure what letters in the alphabet I'm in but I will look into this. You have my curiosity and that is my weakness because now I need to know. Damn it, now I have something else to research.
infj with a mate who is an Fi user for sure and possibly Se (I cannot type him, after nine years of tying, one of the few I can’t knack) anyways, I definitely resonate with the trying to argue when one has Fi and the other uses Ti- it sounds exactly like our discussions/arguments.
... awaiting the link ... :D
Just found out my sister is an ESFP and i swear i would've thought her results would be closer to ENFP but this is starting to make sense to me
My mom is an esfp and I'm an infj.... There's always quarrels because we don't agree with the same stuff .....Any advice?
A lot of distance and space. Like, physically distance yourself from one another.
Sticker Lady harsh
What?
Sticker Lady sad reality check, but its for the best for both parties
‘Tis true.
Trying to understand my ESFP friend as an INTP myself
Nathan: ‘They cannot be reasoned with logically.’
Me: Fantastic
Off to a great start 👍😆
Tbh kinda explains a lot lol
Edit: “let’s start a support group” hahaha thank you!
Hey glad to hear you.
I would like to know, how can we know what type is someone when we meet or know them since sometime.
And how can we know which function is in which slot of a person.
One more thing I have a really hard time understanding is, differentiating between the hero extroverted sensing, and extroverted feeling. Like at times I don't know how to know them apart.
And introverted sensing and introverted feeling in the second function /parent.
Can you please help
Thanks
To be simple, is lu more like pink (estp) or taylor swift (esfp)?
I find no one has more common sense and wisdom then my ESFP Mum who cuts through to the truth or the point of a matter in as few words as possible. (ENFJ)
Wow, this is the first time I've watched a video about ESFP and felt good about myself.
I much more prefer the title of Conqueror of Chaos over Party Animal
I understand YOU
Still waiting for the "ESFPs in 20 words video"
is it possible for this type to give off the vibe of Fe? almost as if their first and second function merge? actually this can be a question for all types.
In my experience as an ESFP, on first acquaintance some people think I might have Fe because I love connecting with people through experiences and I love chatting and being around others. But I feel that external empathy is not our strength. Whilst we feel our emotions strongly and understand them pretty easily, Te3 often means we go into "problem solving mode" rather than empathic mode. We want to have fun with others for sure, but being in tune with others' feelings and acting to create harmony in the room is not really our natural mode.
@@dearkristin oh hi I didn't expect you here!!
you should do a collab with Nathan :D
I was hoping you were going to say the intuitive insights the ESFP has were going to be inferior to an intuitive dominants intuitive insights because I immediately started thinking of Alex Jones (ESFP). I've listened to people try to extract from him how he knows all of his conspiracy theories. All I can say is that his intuitive insights process is dumb. What's your take?
Is it possible to have two different personalities depending on the people in your surroundings? I took a test based on how I am like around my closest friends and around acquaintances, and I found out I am an esfp around my close friends and an istp around my acquaintances.
Any type can be quieter with acquaintances vs friends though. Or even a socially anxious shy version. It doesn't change your cognitive functions, just your behaviour.
Help...I have taken the 16per test like 10 times in half year period and out of the 10 results around 8 were esfp... most of the esfp traits match with my personality but the main one (love being in the spotlight and love performing for others) does not match in the slightest (I care too much what would others think of me)....does anybody feel the same or is something wrong with me
You’re probably battling internal values you’ve borrowed from someone else and aren’t being your authentic self. Your core and actions are in a war.
So usually not the sharpest knife in the kitchen?
How familiar are you with the Jungian self-descriptions of types as in EGO-Shadow-Anima/Animus-Super EGO? I believe C.S. Joseph uses something similar in his type castings based on a Freudian interpretation of the self for an ENFP, EGO: ENFP, Shadow: INFJ, Anima: ISTJ, and Super EGO: ESTP. The reason, I ask is because of your comments on Napolean and Julius Cesar who I would type as ENTJs not INTJs, their unconscious plays a role in how they act under pressure and while experiencing novelty as well as their aspiration, though given differences in standards of ethics, violence, education, strategy as well as differences in culture and periods within culture influence the appearance of Cesar and Napolean both living in imperial warring states at times of major political contention? Also, especially when you look into the biography of Cesar his life was relatively brutal aren't their plenty of factors to explain why these individuals behaved the way they did under certain circumstances, but isn't personality how one is motivated to interpret and understand the world? Like yes this will affect behavior, but behavior seems way more contextual than things like motivation and interpretation and proclivity. For instance, both Napolean and Cesars were students of war and spent more hours planning than they did engaging in combat, Napolean felt comfortable freestyling, because he felt he knew what his opponent could and would do like Newton new the motion of the planets. I don't think this makes him an INTJ, but is this a typical strategy of an ENFP, or do you just think they are exceptions? Also both Napolean and Cesar were more interested in achievement and status as signifiers of who they were, you could say they both lived as what they did and achieved made them who they are and not something else.
I think they were opposing types, Caesar was an ESFP and Napoleon was INTJ. If you look at early life of both of these you can see clear diffrence how first one did not have problem with social contacts, held prestige priest function, wasnot purged during Sulla's reign and did his campaign against pirates. Napoleon on the other hand was clearly an introvert who struggled with getting along with others, was recluse for his whole life and focused on improving his empire not on reckless conquest( most of his wars were defensive ones), while he was sometimes reckless (Whole Spanish thing) he showed clear Ni-Se during his battles, he was also cautious commander when he was not confident in victory(Good example would be holding off guard during battle of Borodino). I think the link between those two come from the fact that they both were opposites of the other and in a strange way very similar
I feel like you are kind of oversimplifying Ti vs Fi, and making it sound more like T and F in general. I can do both, like I focus on my personal values, but can easily get into arguments with people who are illogical in my eyes. So maybe thats my tertiary Te, something you haven't really looked at adequately I'd say.
INFJ here, with an esfp mother-in-law who moved in with us 5 months ago. We have 1 more month left. She drives me absolutely insane. She doesn't pick up on non-verbal cues (give us space without us having to spell it out!), can't seem to anticipate things, and will only talk about surface level stuff. I liked her a lot before living with her. 😔
Se is the function that strives for personal self-expression. Because of aux Fi, if the savior blast doesn't receive the full attention it wants for p
Okay, so I’m definitely an xsfp, I just can’t really tell if I’m more of an e or an i, I’m always kind of in between
