that was my first sanderson book. Was hooked from then on.
Mistborn is great, it is technically not standalone but you could try reading it as such

I read Elantris first and its really good and actually not part of a trilogy, good stand alone to start with.

If you're thinking of a Sanderson book definitely start with just a standalone book first, not that he's not a good author (he's awesome) but he likes writing expanded worlds.
Hist first published work is 'Elantris" which is a standalone and got me into Sanderson.
Mistborn: The Final Empire works as a standalone book with the opportunity to jump into a solid trilogy if it grabs you.
If you were to describe sandersons style, what would it be?
@@schaakakon9473 I'm certainly not great at describing such things, but Sanderson's writing isn't overly "dense" with long descriptions and filler. I find it fairly simple to read and I don't often have to re-read a passage because I missed something. I can breeze through a Sanderson book because it's easy to digest without being geared towards children. He puts a lot of effort into the world and mechanics of his magic systems, and there's plenty of mysteries that a reader can figure out within these systems, if you enjoy doing that.
@@schaakakon9473plot and character driven, loves hard magic(magic that is treated more as a science), and his endings are lovingly called Sanderlanches because he brings together all the threads together in a dramatic and creative fashion. Would definitely recommend, love his stories

@@halcryof2824That's true for many leadership roles including to some extent the President of the US, but especially the Vice President. Vice President can't go out and make sweeping changes to anything, but their role is more like an influencer (not a social media influencer) in that they attempt to persuade people to do what they want. Even big corporations csuite members can't do that because the board of directors and shareholders were throw a fit.

i hate to be the pessimistic one but i dont think anything will save the downfall of LCS with the exception of merging the Americas
idk much about how theyre doing financially with it but making the tier 2 league better is a good way to develop talent (which NA is horrible at) so as long as they do okay financially then NA will get better in a few years time
@@corey161 Not a lot of young people are playing the game in NA. And even then the path to pro and tier 1 money aren't as lucrative as they were before.

The reason people stop watching half way through the split is because watching the SAME meta for the entire split is fucking boring. Sure 1 or 2 champs might come and go on a patch change but it's basically been the same 20-25 champ meta for the last 5 years.

@@rinkujoka232 Fearless Draft in the LPL wont even survive 3 patches. Once the round is over, they're back to the same old stuff. Rather than players blaming iot on the Pro Leagues, it's much better to ask Riot to add more spice to the actual patches FOR the pro leagues.
If you want to read on of his books, I recommend “Elantris”. It’s my favorite book of all time.
And you might think, “who’s this guy saying he likes something on the internet?” So I will prove my ethos to you all.

Anecdotal story, but I met Brandon Sanderson at a boyscout jamboree. He signed one of his books for me and was kind of a dick lmao. Its sick hes getting a team though.
I’ve heard similar stories about Brando, and some of his responses in his Q&A’s come off as kind of hostile, but the dude is a hell of an author, and it’s sick to see some investment in NACL
