I'm glad young people these days get to enjoy a classic with modern graphics. My favorite stories to play as a kid were Metal Gear Solid and Mafia. Also, this soundtrack and "the best is yet to come" were unforgettable to me just hearing them brings me childhood memories and somehow nostalgic about Tommy and Snake like if I had known them in real life lol
i enjoyed the original back in september when it was free for a limited time. fun game. the new one was on sale simultaneously and soon i realized what i had to do. a well-done modern remake. even a newcomer to the series like me was excited after that intro. it was like i was waiting for this for 20 years. it was actually two weeks. to mention a bad, but hilarious non-the-less remake, metal gear solid: the twin snakes. too bad i have only played the original on the pc as a pirated game. konami just doesn't like steam.
This was one of the first remakes in a long time to do justice to the original while improving upon the base it was given. The hidden items, more dynamic driving, and outside of the mission abilities while also providing more story and background really made this immersive for me. You really get sucked in to the story and the ending really hits well. Even the final monologue.

The first 44 seconds gives me goosebumps.
I remember when I first heard this soundtrack. It sounded so good and I think it’s the best mafia soundtrack I’ve heard.
Tommy should not die he was a great guy who has a good family
Mafia 2 was answer all after Tommy has dead
@@MusicandGame23 thanks
At the end Tommy was meddling a Crime Family bigger than he anticipated.... it was a matter of time before his bill was due....
