My guess is that it isn't as graphic than the dolphin scene. Shock value is strong on the latter.
You may want to see the reaction for the latest episode (Season 2, Episode 5) - protestor scene - to prove if I'm right or wrong.
i'd say that's because animals are seen as more innocent than humans, but dolphins are fucked up as shit, they love raping other things so much.

The plane scene hurts more when you realize that the people probably would have been better off without Homelander and Maive.

Was actually excited when Karen Fukuhara, the one who starred as Kimiko, got casted here cause she's the voice actor of one my fav animated series: Glimmer in She-ra and the Princesses of Power, and Kipo in Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. She's also Katana in Suicide Squad. Such a great actress.
She is an awesome actress.

Even being on season 3 currently, TO THIS DAY, that dolphin scene is the funniest thing the Boys have ever put out. And thats saying something comin from this crazy ass show.
He can't lift it up. Ramming or moving fast enough under it would rip it apart and kill everyone inside.

All those explanations about Homelander not having anything to stand on, etc. are BS. Why? Because of what he does with Maeve after he lets the plane go down....he HOVERS. Homelander could have gripped the plane and hovered with it slowly to the ground.

Jay Brewer It doesn’t matter how strong homelander is. Homelander is too small he would just go straight through the bottom of the plane. Learn some physics before arguing about it. The amount of force Homelander would need to put into the bottom of the plane to keep it from falling would destroy the plane as he would be applying the force on such a small part of the plane. With your logic, a bullet to the head would just bounce off and just bruise somebody’s entire body.

Real talk, I like his responses to catching the plane or flying into it. That honestly never made sense to me, because if you are flying into a plane going 600 mph, why would you not go through it or something like that. The funny thing is...Homelander is completely right. He can't just lift the plane with nothing to stand on. He can't actually save the passengers, but the fucked up thing is he doesn't even try. He approaches it the way some of us approach our day jobs. Yeah, we could probably put in the effort to fix a certain mess, but we don't because we're lazy. That's why he leaves, because he just doesn't want to put in the extra effort. Only it costs 300 people their lives.

Just so you guys are on the same page, homelander can gauge how powerful his Lazer eyes are. He zapped that terrorist in front of the psssangers with just enough force to kill the guy but to not vaporise him entirely as he normally is shown to, then, he goes to the cockpit and uses extra force to kill the guy but to pierce through him and destroy the controls. The fact that homelander wasn't being careful shows that he had no interest in saving the plane and the passengers

They went with actually physics in the show cuz if homelander lifted the plane in the air he would have put a hole through it cuz that amount of pressure on one spot is not going to save them but if he was on the ground he could have lifted it cuz he would have an advantage

I don't understand the part about Homelander not being able to lift the plane. All he really needs to do is grab it from underneath and accelerate himself to the point of the plane not falling. I don't see how that logic is flawed.
