First he made Curry of Life, now he makes Curry of Death.
Lol
Curry balance
Just came from that vid. I honestly appreciate that he puts himself through this while wondering just why he enjoys doing this
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist2Amen to Jesus, for he is our Lord and Savior
This could be a Basics with Babish, but I'd like to see Alvin do potato chips... _from Death Note._
I'm going to take, this chip, and...
EAT IT
Alvin will add Kosher salt to it like Babish does lol
@@angterrastriker6535Im going to see this comment, and like it!
Those would be consomme chips.
@@Nebotek1 All according to keikaku!
(Note: keikaku means plan)
Everyone knows that the Superspicy Curry actually originated from the Kirby series.
“Toxic-Atomic Curry!”
Kirby's games have so many types of food at the same time
Poyo
They're both from Sakurai though
Yeah, I thought that they'd bring that up but nah I guess they don't know 😅
Superspicy Curry comes from Kirby’s Dreamland and got reused in smash, much like every other item
I guess they think it's a Smash original 😅
Both games are by Sakurai, so… cousin games?
It’s been in at least three Smash games compared to only one Kirby game so I think that’s fair
@@Ned_Zeppelin_324 Fair. But it has made appearances in more than one Kirby game.
@@Rammy_Latin also it was in the anime where it had an entire episode around it
Tuff: "Wow is that fire Kirby!?"
Meta-Knight: "No, it is a reaction from Kawasaki's cooking!"
Chef Kawasaki: "Kirby finally felt it!"
Has this show already done the strawberry shortcake from Kirby: Squeak Squad? Because if not, there's certainly an idea! I always wanted to eat it sooooo badly as a kid...
If you don’t go through a quest of vengeance across the continent, then you did not earn the right to eat the shortcake
Alvin made Strawberry Shortcake from Death Note
So since the shortcake was already done
Maybe the invincibility lollypop??? I mean thats candy making, entirely different skill set but im drawing a blank on dishes_seen_in_kirby
Speaking of cake, I feel like the honeycomb cake from Tinkerbell would taste delicious!
@@vanessam93900 Right, I thought they'd done strawberry shortcake before but couldn't remember what it was for!
The superspicy curry actually made its debut in Kirby's debut game, Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy, released in 1992.
The Superspicy Curry originated from the Kirby series, specifically Kirby's Dream Land, predating all copy abilities.
It could be considered a precursor to the Fire ability, and its variants.
At this point it's a smash item first by virtue of 90% of people knowing it from smash
@@illford6921 that's not how it works lol
Love to see so many kirby enthusiasts in the comments. These are my people
Beating the shower of comments screaming that this is actually a Kirby dish
Sidenote Tips for the comments - make sure if you use mustard oil, you let it get properly hot before throwing anything into it. Otherwise the acrid flavors won't vaporize out completely
Not gonna lie, the curry on fire looks so sick. Shame it didn't taste great afterwards, though 😅
Would probably be fine if it was just a bit less of it.
but the one without the alcohol is delicious tho
you could say it looked 'fire' hehehe
Please don’t waste food
@repentandbelieveinJesusChrist2 I'm sorry brother, but your comment is not-at-all related to the original comment or the video.
id love if he did one of the food ticket meals from splatoon 3! this was great
SECONDING THIS BY A LOT YES!! or even one of the dishes from Crusty Sean would be just as great!
They could also add the ability drinks in the bags to pair with it
Alvin's face at the first bite 😂
I always assumed the Superspicy Curry would be a Japanese styled curry for some reason.
that’s what I assumed also, with kirby and smash being japanese video games haha
Actually the curry is from kirbys games! Funniest representation being star allies where the curry changes depending on the difficulty and is a running theme for kirby!
I'm sure plenty already pointed out that this is a Kirby series dish. Adding to that, there was an episode of the Kirby anime they showed how it got made. Maybe you can incorporate that if there's ever a Botched by Alvin?
Accidents by Alvin? To keep the theme of the names
If you're not playing Smash Bros. with items turned on, you're not really playing Smash Bros.
I actually remember the curry from the Kirby series, especially in the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! anime, in the episode, "A Spice Odyssey".
The curry wasn’t the only highlight of the episode. There was also those other spicy foods. Everyone burning themselves just for the new thing.
Two recommendations:
Saffron Corn with Jalapeño Honey Butter from Shrek 3.
The No-Bake Carrot Cookies from Abbott Elementary.
Can't wait to try this with a reasonable amount of spice.
More spice then?
but more alcohol?
@@culticplanetHARAM
That curry is from various Kirby games and the anime Kirby right back at ya 🍛
So spicy that Luigi's face glitches
2:54 "black powder"
My brother in Christ, you want it spicy, not EXPLOSIVE
Kirby using the curry to gimp Bowser gives me life
for the next BWB, Andrew needs to do the foods from Max and Ruby (the cakes from “Bunny Cakes”, candy from “Ruby’s Candy Shop”, and the berry smoothies from an episode whose name i somehow don’t remember)
I'm from india, and hearing old monk made me happy
fun fact this item is actually from Kirby
It's actually from Kirby
I know this was probably just a reason to make a different, special type of curry but I'm pretty sure the actual in-game curry is most probably Japanese curry, especially with that plating of half rice half sauce...
Ahhh! This is perfect! Well done, Alvin, and everyone on the team.
Perfect? He forgot an important ingredient. The garlic ginger paste
@@ricseeds4835 I meant that it looked perfect, and that I want to eat it. 😅Sorry for not being clearer.
That flaming curry is by far one of the sickest things I have ever seen! I love how the fire was purple and orange
Nice! If you're doing any more Kirby-inspired dishes, could I also suggest the *Deluxe Mountain Cake* from _Kirby Battle Royale_ (IE. the truly humongous cake that Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee compete in Dedede's tournament to obtain) and the *Carby Cake* and/or *Kirby Burger* from _Kirby & the Forgotten Land_ as well?
Is it black powder, black garlic powder or black pepper powder (grounded)? Cuz one of them is non edible and could explode when heat is applied to it
I feel like the cake from paper Mario sounds like it would be fun to make. Both the ways that Mario makes it, and Peach
Only if he bakes it for 4 and a half years, just so it's authentic
Hey Alvin, can you make Yeto’s Reekfish Soup from Snowpeak Manor in The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess?
^^^^^^^^^ YES PLEASE.
W
I think Slowpoke tail would be a neat dish. I’d be very curious how it would adapt into real life. Perhaps a tail shaped meatloaf? Ox tail?
Probably oxtail
I imagine a mix of wagyu beef with dark chicken meat (thighs mostly).
I always imagined it as being like eating an even bigger giant shrimp or prawn, but with dolphin hide instead of an exoskeleton. It’s fun to read everyone else’s interpretation!
Alvin: shames us for using items
Also Alvin: admits to using items
Lol
Alvin always looks like a surprised fish when he eats
This dish is absolutely fire! Kirby would obviously know what foods are delicious or not...or just consume anything and everything.
Knowing both Kirby and Smash, I would LOVE to try this...
Can the next Arcade with Alvin be any dish from Pokemon Cafe Mix
We went from smashing bros in smash bros to smashing delicious curry in curry
Smashing bros? 😳
"If you've ever played Smash Bros. with items, shame on you."
Sod off, items are great fun.
I'm pretty sure that in order to pour alcohol cleanly you need to pour it on a really hot container, then set it on fire. Usually a really small saucepan is used.
There are no reference videos in the description that I see, only the babish websites and products that dont have the recipe on them
Another Arcade with Alvin, another hope I can ask for a Don't Starve video
The flames were badass and Alvin’s face when he ate it made me snort 😅
As soon as I saw that thumbnail, I told myself "Alvin, don't eat that."
Do coach’s Burger tank order from L4D2 (Barbeque bacon burger, large order of fries, orange soda with no ice, apple pie slice)
"The curry is now on fire."
"You are now holding a duck."
2:43 black powder? This is an explosive meal!
2:34 in my best Dave voice "AALLLVIIIIIIIINNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
3:22 .... kashmiri chili powder isnt spicy. Its mostly used to add colour
You should make either the yellow green and purple cake, the white green and pink cake, or the pink tarts in the twins house from the game Fran Bow!!! ❤
The addition of black powder must be the real kick 2:53
“Green chiles” is too vague especially because that normally refers to Hatch green chile by default. So for anyone wondering I’m fairly sure those are Serrano peppers
That looks fantastic, going to have to give it a try (minus the chillis and most of the chilli powdwer, I'm not a spice nut)
I was told the reference video would be in the description
If you ever played Smash with items, you like to have fun and embrace a little chaos, and that's awesome.
Would be cool to see the lunchboxes from TF2. Really cool video!
🤓 uhh actually the spicy curry comes from the Kirby’s Dreamland released on Gameboy in 1993.
He should do a Kirby special. He can make the strawberry shortcake from squeak squad, the invincibility lollipop, the Karby cake from FL, and the super spicy curry… oh wait…
Something else from the dee cafe?
0:30 *instantly hits like*
"If you ever played Smash Bros with items, shame on you" This man doesn't know how to have fun.
I haven't watched this channel in months, and I come back and Alvin sounds just like Andrew.😂
hey the reference videos for the curry are not in the description
“Real men use items!”
- Tag by Masahiro Sakurai
The Superspicy Curry is from Kirby's Dream Land, not Super Smash Brothers. The Superspicy Curry is also a Japanese curry, not Indian. Also, you said the reference video was in the description...it was not.
Okay, if you're going to go down this road you have to make the coffee and curry for Persona 5. I know you made the burger, but come on, it's Leblanc coffee and curry.
Two crazy recipe ideas to recreate include:
The Flaming Homer/Moe from the Simpsons
The Meaturduckballizza from the Thundermans
Where's the reference link video? It's been 4 days & I only see marketing links in the description.
2:55 Not black pepper, black powder. BOOM
May I recommend Everclear It's a odorless and flavorless flamable alcohol.
( Unless you consider the burning sensation of alcohol a flavor)
So sad that you ruined the taste with the flame but man that looked amazing and was true to the source material! Great job
I wanna see Alvin try and make the Golden Delight from Terraria, might be interesting to see
Items are gold! Jigglypuffs got the fan! Run!!!
Billy: Mmm! Spicy! 😋🔥
Thanks for doing a dish from my favorite game. 🔥
Funnily enough, a curry is more a cooking style than a dish (at least in South Asia), just as a stir-fry is (at least in East Asia). Also, see such cases as gulai, kalio & rendang (which would basically be wet, semi-wet/semi-dry & dry respectively) among the different kinds of currying
Superspicy Curry is a Kirby series item, not a Smash Bros. original.
You did not put the reference videos you mentioned at 0:54 in the description like you said.
2:54 black powder?
Ah Kirby will be pleased :)
Yeah, the pyrotechnics are just for show... as they are with Bananas Foster or Crepes Suzette.
That curry looks delicious! I hope I can make it!
I just thought it was just spicy spaghetti this whole time.
Oh, yes...Make sure to cut the chilis with your bare hands...
Then make sure to rub your eyes after...
One MUST test his TOLERANCE! @_@
That flaming part is so nice tho
Is it me or there are no links for reference videos in the description
The kirby anime introduced me to the toxic atomic curry too
The default option is items on
The single-player modes like classic and spirit board are items on
I'm gonna keep playing with items on, the way Sakurai intended
i missed this and it makes my brain happy
Amazing cooking
Was that a dunkey reference? 5:25
You should try doing the question mark corn dog from gravity falls.
Um, acktually, the Superspicy Curry originated in Kirby's Dreamland as "Spicy Food"
I'd like to request the Hamburgers and other food items from Eathbound on the SNES. Finding a hamburger in a garbage can is optional.
You say refrence videos in description but i dont see them my guy
Alvin! I was just playing pokemon violet on the switch and the was thinking the herba mystica sandwiches from Pokemon violet/scarlet could be a fun one!
My favorite strategy to do with Super Spicy Curry Kirby is to trap the opponent in the flame and then use a Hammer Flip.
