- Picked up a set of ISR pro coilovers along with their camber arms, toe arms, and eccentric lockout kit. This video contains an overview of the items as well as a step by step install.
I went with ISR's because currently they seem like the best bang for the buck option
in the 350Z suspension arena.
If you would like to see a review of these coilovers after I have had some time to drive them around I would be happy to do it just comment in the video. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Love when a car owner does his/her own mods!!!! 💯👍
Trying my hardest! 😊👍✔
Great work man! Crazy how far this car has come! 😍
Thanks man! 😊
hopefully getting a Z soon. ur guides are informative and entertaining 👍🏾
Glad you like them man and thank you for watching! Cant go wrong with a Z! So much bang for the buck!
This was awesome man! Im gonna check out these ISR coils.
They are a little stiff especially in the rear but I am not complaining especially for the price. If you purchase and install make sure there is no load on the springs when you put them in. I had a tiny bit of preload and that contributes to the stiffness of mine. 🙂👍
@@therealjessescheel thats good to know! I appreciate your response dude!
Nice video Cornell!
Crazy, I didn’t know you could switch the independent suspension out with just the one complete piece coilovers in the rears .
Yes sir! Pretty sweet how simple Nissan made the Z! Always nice when you dont have to do anything crazy to drop in some coilovers. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it! 🙂👍
@@therealjessescheel subbed!!!! You’re awesome!!!
Hey man so do you have to get a lock out kit or can i just reuse the stock bolts
hey i wanted to know what likenof tires you are using!
Hello brother, tell me please, have you done chassis reinforcements before installing true coilovers? Some people are telling me I can't install true coilovers without chassis reinforcement!
Very nice I plan on getting the same setup but I was wondering if you could direct me on the damp ring extension keys on where you got them and then also I live in Mesa on the east side of the valley with the same color car
The dampener extensions come with the coilovers. I mention it at the beginning of the video. ☺️👍🏼
Make a review on those coilovers👍🏼they look like a steal on paper🙌🏼
You got it man! Give me a few weeks to work with them and I will follow up with a review!
I SUCK! Filmed it earlier today and editing it now. Better late then never?!?! 😬🙃
Hello brother, sorry for disturbance, in regards of the rear camber arms, it's coming with 4 spacers or something like this inside the box, what do you do with it?
Been awhile but I think they are spares if I remember correctly.
@5:42 - You mentioned the spring rates 14kg/mm and 12kg/mm which equals to 783 lb/in and 671 lb/in. It's the amount of force it takes for it to travel down, with those specs it's gonna be a stiff ride. You should upgrade the sway bars too next, definitely will feel like it's on rails. Lol.
Looks good though, I have Whiteline 1inch lowering springs with 19's and it passes the shoe test, can't even put my toe in there. You should get wider tires though, it'll fill the wheel well up more. I run 245/35 and 275/35. I may switch to 255/35 soon though for the front.
Good info!! Thank you for that! 🙂
I am trying to keep the tire size down to keep them cheap as I will be trying to learn how to drift here shortly. The bigger the tire the more they cost but I hear ya.
Dual caliper in the back will add about 8mm and if thats not enough I may do a small spacer as well. Also trying to keep same size as up front so everything is interchangeable. 👍
@@therealjessescheel It doesn't really look like you need spacers though unless you going for the hella flush. I think your wheel offset is +18 right? That's kinda of a nice offset. I'm running +22 and +30, but with added spacers which gives me +17 and +15.
It looks like you're running a stretch tire combo too, which is actually unsafe, that's why I mentioned to run a wider tire. Square setup is good though cause then you can rotate your tires and get more life, plus the car is neutral. I'm staggered and it feels like the car pushes in the corner. You might want to look into 255 or 265 tire sizes that'll fit your 9.5 wheels. Hankook sells decent priced tires. You're on 18's too so it shouldn't be too expensive opposed to my 19's, you know that odd size usually cost more.
@@bman409 Great info! Yeah maybe I should look into the bigger tire that all makes sense. +18 is correct.
I am taking it to a drift event tomorrow and we will see how it shakes out and go from there. 🙂👍
My rears are 315 you'll love it 👌
Jack underneath rear spring bucket is a no - no , a tire place did mine , cracked it
I took my buckets out for new camber and toe arms.
So I was thinking about getting isr coils so how are they now? Are you still running them if so have they did you well over time .
They are still in! Great High Value option. They are on the stiffer side of coilovers even on their soft settings but for what you pay idk how you beat them. I am dropping a video later today called "The Perfect 350Z" and talk about them in there briefly. If money is not an object go BC or something higher end. If wanting to maximize bang for buck buy ISR's!
@@therealjessescheel well I know isr products are used in formula drift events so I figured for almost 1000$ or 900$ they would be worth every penny an can with stand the abuse when it comes to street racing.. but loved the vid an I agree I want my Z lowered but but low to the point where my bottom end is getting scraped up
Do the isr bolts come with the coils? Im about to buy a set for my 2015 genesis Coupe
They did with the ones for the Z 👍🏼
Did they come with the rear extensions in the box or did you bought them separately. I’m looking to buy these but supposedly they don’t come with the rear extensions...?
They come with them in the box! They do a horrible job marketing it as it does not show on any site but they are included!
Cool thanks, how stiff is the ride with the 14k 12k set up? Is it bumpy?
@@JaiderChiu I have back set to softest setting currently and front to the stiffest. A little bumpy but with some tweaking I think it will be amazing. It is night and day difference from stock. What is your goal with putting them in?
Daily / track .....
@@JaiderChiu I would say buy with confidence now but give me a few weeks if you want to be certain. 🙂
Did you have any swaybar issues with the endlinks?
I think I stripped one out when I did it. Just got another from a junkyard. If your having issues getting it in or out just make sure the whole front end is up in the air when removing or installing them. If only one side is up you will not be able to do it.
So if you really wanted to you could run “true” coil overs on a z, without changing any of the arms ?
If you really wanted to yes. You may have some rear camber to deal with though depending how low you go.
@@therealjessescheel thank you
Anyone kno where to get the suspension torque specs?😅
Check out GKtech's control arm install for 350Z's. Just about every spec is in there. 🙂👍
How’s the ride quality??
Thanks for the install
Hey Brandon! It is ok. I have intentions of doing a review on them in the next few weeks. Just wanted a lot of drive time before I made it. They are stiff. My biggest complaint is that I wish they offered a lower spring rate in back to soften the bumps a little bit. The ride although amazing in corners can get a little annoying on a straight and bumpy road. Still really hard to beat the quality for the price in my opinion. 😊👍
@@therealjessescheel Thank you for replying!! looking forward to that review video! thanks for the honest feedback. Looking into getting some for my 350z
Great video. Super helpful. I was also considering the Ksport coilovers with 12 & 6.3 spring rates since it's just for drive quality, no track use. Based on your comments this may be a better option (less stiff). Any thoughts? I just can't tell if they have the remote rear damper adjustment. I liked how you modified the rear setup for easy access. Thanks.
Hello brother, tell me please, if I want to buy those coilovers, it's necessary to buy a set of camber and toe arms?
Your going to want them if you use the coilovers to lower the car so you can get your alignment back in spec. If you installed the coilovers and kept stock ride height you’d pry be ok.
Thank you for your answer brother, so I can buy coilovers, bucket delete toe arm and I'm good to go? Do you recommend eccentric lockout kit? Sorry, I'm not that good as you, that's why asking!
u said u didnt tought the preload but did u end up adjusting it or not?
Never touched it. Set it so you can just barely rotate the springs if it’s your first time.
@@therealjessescheel so u mean hand tight?
Kirk Hammett has a 350Z :)

For sure! Thanks for watching man and for the encouragement! 😊👍
those are torqued to 54ft lbs my boy 80ft lbs is a absolute shit ton
Noted. I’ll change it for you. 👍🏼
Did it come with a sticker lol
Haha. I don’t think so but I honestly don’t remember. 🙃
Bro I'm just saying... 5 inches was not the difference 🥲😅😂
