Some people dance like that because they learned it early from Grandma and Grandpa.
It is a cultural thing that is learned.
Not everything is from the point of view of carnal, but more from the point of feeling and love and family.
I wish there was a way to bridge the gaps of understanding to make it more of an appreciation of history to know of how and why the dance is danced.

They are missing Pete Astudillo there!!! he was her backup singer and dance partner onstage see her in a "night to remember" concert the famous concert where the band members hated their outfits😂😂 she dances away with him its incredible watch her get down to "juana la cubana" with him
thats also where she sings "set me free" "sensitivity" and " when i think of you"👍👍👍👍👍

I like how this dude genuinely gets it. It's so hard to explain this to people who never grew up w this music. They just never get the real impact she left. How tremendously talented she was. From her fashion to her music to her whole vibe. They see it now and don't fucking get it.

She opened the Tejano industry for women. She was working on a crossover album into pop music right before her death. There are a few English version songs out there.

This video was from her last televised live performance. It was at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo inside the now-defunct Astrodome in Feb. of 1995. The Astrodome held many Rodeo concerts and the sound inside that place left a lot to be desired, no matter the performer. She was playing to a sold-out crowd of 60+ thousand fans.

Man, she was fierce! That stroll across the stage, you know the one, where you had to rewind haha. I had to rewind too when I first saw it. I was like woah.
I don't know how she did it in those heels too. I would have broke both my ankles after getting out of the carriage she rode in haha.

I came upon your Selena reactions and cried. You genuinely loved her as an artist and person. I was 14 when she died in 1995 and she was my idol. When you do the reviews you seem so happy and into it. I appreciate all of them so much. I subscribed ♥️I love your joy in music.

I tell you something at the time of her death I was really confused I didn't know if I was going to miss her has a singer or if I was in love with her has a beautiful woman what I was feeling couldn't be just the loss of an amazing singer I WAS IN LOVE! and that's why I was feeling so much pain of her loss.

Si Una Vez, check that one out, if you have my apologies, barely going through your catalog of videos and I sincerely like them. I'm in Houston Texas, this woman here, that was a huge event! I love Selena's music!! Tejano era was the shit, at school they used to pretend to be her but they never let me join in, they said I wasn't Mexican enough (redhead Mexican)! You believe that, like Miklo in Blood In Blood Out "I may be white on the outside but I'm brown on the inside, to the bone!" I didn't care this one was my jam, but it's something that I remember when listening to her music, them mean little girls. Good times! 😂😂😂
