In the three videos I've seen with Gou Miyagi on CZcams, I have yet to see him do a single kickflip and I think that's actually impressive. So many videos are just flip tricks over big gaps and it all feels average after awhile. He DOES do a Pop Shuvit out a 5050 grind in the video with the crazy rail he rides back and forth like a mini ramp. Gou inspires me as someone who has struggled thru their time as a skater with the more complex 3 flips and their variations. It's just my opinion but the industry should (and I think is starting to) to look at less technically advanced skaters and more to those who have an original style.
A lot of his tricks are applying advanced levels of styles just in weird ways. It's just different and not the same tre flips over and over. I think he's still super technically advanced, just in his unique way.
This is the first Miyagi video I've felt able to give a thumbs up to. In this video it doesn't feel like he's shitting on the "boundaries" of skate tricks (hands and feet touching the floor or rails) without elevating the art as a whole. There is some really good legit shit in here, and that right-angled 50-50 was probably one of the first on film.
This man makes fun of physics
Gou miyagi would definitely have the longest tree assisted 50 50.
*longest tree-assisted jub to 50 grind
Rob dyrdek got the longest 5050 😂
Along with Rodney Mullen, RIchie Jackson and Gou Miyagi are true innovators. RESPECT
Whats cool about this dude is no gaps no stairs no flip tricks ,just rails mostly but very cool style.

@@guitarsANDcars39 In this video I think he's mostly using grip tape.

I don't he has problems with kickflips, he just refuses to do traditional ones. He did a kickflip (?) into pogo in a Heroin part I think.
he even uses some kind of cloth griptape, to prevent your shoes from wearing out, maybe the cloth griptape is not good for flips.

MIYAGI!! I love his style so much!! Such an inspiration!
Pure art.
Miyagi is always so fun to watch, more so than most skaters in my opinion. Thanks for the cool video.

That's what interesting about him. He skates a totally different and unique way, it's kind of refreshing to see. Pretty much no flip tricks.
