- Closed, for this year, the Festival chapter; let's move on and introduce the winner of the Instagram tournament: Mandarin. Well what about the Goblin and I have noticed that despite being the main enemy of Iron Man this Villain does not have a single Tribute on CZcams. But luckily I have remedied! Here is his version of Iron Man Armored Adventures and get ready for more videos on that series!

I’m not exactly ashamed to say I like this show a lot, especially the Mandarin. He looks like a black Knight straight out of a fairy tale book
I think samurai is more accurate, though racially inaccurate for the Chinese character he is

I don't know why people are hating this show, it was pretty awesome
For a couple of reasons, while silly ones, it starred younger versions of many recognizable characters when the MCU blew up which was severe whiplash to many people, and the CGI animation which wasn’t all that great.

@@ArcTrooperRod-269 Eh the CGI for the humans was pretty meh. Especially in regards to movement. Aside from that, the environments were mostly well made, and the fighting was pretty good, tho not amazing due to the previously mentioned human movements that was quite janky at times. And yes, I do like this show. The CGI just doesn’t hold up all that well.
This is really the only time I can remember the Rings not being used to just make energy beams

Dang, this is awesome! I first watched this show as a child and immediately appreciated this version of Mandarin, he is very cool and compelling and I don't think I have ever seen a hero/villain relationship like his and Iron Man's in this show in anything else before or since which is just amazing. I did honestly find it to be a tragedy that no one had ever made a Mandarin Tribute before on CZcams but luckily you have fixed this problem. Excellent work my friend, this is actually one of my favorite videos that you have made this month!

Tbh this is the most complex, tragic and sypmpathetic version of mandarin outside of the comics
This series was underrated for it's time and got to show off Iron Man's Rogue's Gallery in a way the MCU never really managed to accomplish.

I think everyone can agree that this is the better Mandarin than the one from the MCU.
Xu Wenwu isn't meant to be the Mandarin but a completely newly created character made for the MCU. For what he is he works well.

@@ArcTrooperRod-269 The Mandarin having armor similar to, or at least inspired by his amazing Armored Adventures design should be a staple for the character.
Like if you want your Mandarin adaptation to even attempt to be as good as Armored Adventures Mandarin was, you can at least start by giving him a design with armor similar to the peak armor he had in that show.
This version of The Mandarin was way better than Aldrich Killian from Iron Man 3. That's for sure.

Nice work. I agree that this version of the Mandarin is the best we have outside of comics, but the bar isn't very high when you look at the other versions: a green skinnes archeologist from the 90s cartoon, an ancient ghost in the direct-to-DVD animation, and whatever the hell "Iron Man 3" was trying to be (nearly a decade has passed and I'm still salty about it). This version is more of a combination of him and his son Temugin, which is why he is more sympathetic than the Mandarin from the comics who has no empathy or mercy.
At least the 90s version started was better written in S2 and acted more like his comic book counterpart. However I do agree that this version is cool too

@@gaminganimators7000 Nothing I've heard of the movie has made me want to watch it, I think I'm done with the MCU for a time. But even if this version of Mandarin was amazing it would still feel too little too late, because the time when they should have used him was in "Iron Man 3". That's when people were actually excited to see him.
@@kriitikko Well, the thing about Iron Man 3 was that comic book Mandarin was a Fu Manchu stereotype, which wouldn't fly with American audiences, let alone a Chinese one. Not to mention that Iron Man fightin' a Chinese villain would've gotten the film banned in China, if not the MCU.
This Mandarin has a great kinship with Fu, specifically the one from the Big Bang Mission saga, both in the look of his hair and in the color of his clothing, curious 🤔🤔🤔.
