I’m from socal. I feel like I should have been from northern Cali lol. I grew up with the blacks. Just happened that way . Was drinking 40 ounces with rolling 20’s Long Beach crips over in Hawaiian Gardens at 13 years old. I didn’t choose my surroundings. I had to beef with Mexicans and whites because they hated blacks and even when I tried to befriend Mexicans they hated me for riding with my black brothers.
Seems like in northern Cali I wouldn’t have had it so rough just for being me. My family was poor and none of us grew up feeling “white” anyways. We’re Italian, Yugoslavian and Jewish. We all have dark hair and olive skin. Somehow youth we were traitors if we didn’t walk on the “white” light and stick to our own. I’m not built like that. It’s like;y it’s the upbringing I had being raised in Chicago till I was 12. The lack of racism stuck with me but big big props to the northern Cali people. They understand the game with-ought over doing the politics.
