    Title: "The Birth of a Cinema. Forum Ealing. How theatre grew".
    Billboard sign "This site has been acquired for the erection of a magnificent SUPER CINEMA & CAFE to be called THE FORUM to accommodate 2,500 persons."
    Camera pans around workmen on an derelict piece of land in Ealing. WS of the billboard (above) at the entrance to the site. The church and buildings next to the land. Piles of bricks, scaffolding and the building work in progress. The basic auditorium structure. Scenes with workman and general building site activity. A man laying tiles on the roof. The voice-over describes the dance floor, tearooms and auditoriums the camera pans across the building as it develops. Mr Yapp, the managing director arrives with the architect and another man. Several shots of the men surveying the site. The men want the builders to hurry up. MS the builders at work - the film is the run at high speed, so that they appear to be working extra fast. High speed shots of carpenters, plumbers and window fitters. Still at high speed the finished building is revealed with people in the street outside. High speed traffic, busses and trams going past the Cinema.

    As a kid in the 60s, there were 4 cinema`s. Now we only have the replacement for this that has mostly flats to cater for the never ending stream of gimme grunts.

    All that`s left of the Forum now is the facade which is help up by heavy duty scaffolding. It stands alone amongst the weeds of a project that never came to fruition, what a waste!

    Now its housing with a very small cinema, not worth visiting any more,
    Used to be a great market on the left of it, it was there for years, but the council got rid of it
    Ealing and the Broadway have changed a lot over the years
    Even the town hall has part of it sold off now
