I loved The Way I Used To Be, gave it 5 stars. There are parts of that book in which I still rage over to this day; I truly despised so many characters but I appreciated the read because it depicts very really things. I purchased the 2nd book, The Way I Am Now, a few months back but haven't gotten around to it yet as I'm not emotionally ready. Anyway, thank so much for sharing with us your hauls- I always enjoy them. Happy readings this year!

@@bookswithellen just take your time with it, it's a long book so of course it's going to be a bit slower. but a lot gets added to the story and it's an emotional time for sure. i adore that trilogy.

Binding 13 was my favorite book of 2023. And I say that as someone who doesn't normally like YA.

GIRLLL maybe I need to try reading the fake out bc I love the chestnut springs series but havent been able to find any romance that compares!! Idk i read icebreaker and it was too corny for me so I’m hoping this series is better

I bought the first two of the ACOTAR books when they came out as well, lost interest in the middle of the first one stopped reading for years then decided to pick it up again and was unable to put it down. My OCD wouldn't let me get the new released version of the books because I had already gotten the first two in the original Canadian released edition, so when I had to look for the third one it too me six months to find it in paperback to match the first two. And it cost me almost 80$ and its actually worth 300 So I was very lucky to get it but I could have probably saved myself a lot of headache if I'd bought all three at the time they'd come out

I can’t believe you’ve heard that the second DoNW book is not great!? Imo it’s by far the best in the entire series but the third book eh needs editing down, second one does too but the middle ending bit was AMAZING
Also I bought All Rhodes Lead Here from Amazon this week and had to send that sodding book back TWO TIMES bc it came so incredibly damaged

Deal with the Elf King was good, but overall that particular series was very up and down for me. Some I really liked and some just missed the mark. The same with The Simple Wild. Liked the first one but the rest of the series fell a bit flat for me.
i ended up reading deal with the elf king a few weeks ago and really didn’t enjoy it!! so i think we agree on that one. still haven’t read the simple wild but i’m hoping i at least enjoy the first one!!
