      We did not make it to the bird park, but did drive past it. I really wanted to go. Time was a little limited. We will be back.

    If you like nature (who doesn't), might consider visiting Lake Gardens established in 1888 during the colonial era, located just at the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur. Entrance is free. A few attractions - though not free - walking distance from the Lake Gardens are also worth considering: the bird park (reputedly the world's largest), the butterfly park and the Islamic Museum. In front of the Islamic Museum is the National Mosque, worth a peek and for free.
    Most convenient way to get there is by MRT stopping at the Muzium Negara (Malay for National Museum) station and walk from there.

      @@forevergraceful6160 About 800m or 10 min nice walk from Muzium Negara MRT Station to KL Bird Park. Ask someone or use your Google map for direction.

    Welcome to KL Malaysia..during your stay in KL why not go and explore Malaysian foods..and most popular food is NASI LEMAK..you can go to WANJO NASI LEMAK at KAMPONG@VILLAGE BARU@NEW in KL from KLCC you can just walk by link to SALOMA BRIDGE..to KG BARU..or other option is by LRT from MASJID JAMEK sttn..and disembark KAMPONG BARU sttn..hopefully you can enjoy the food..#takecare

    suggest you try Nasi Lemak Wanjo (rice dish) at Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur near the Kampung Baru LRT station ... if you are still in Kuala Lumpur that is ... have fun

    malaysia means malay land.. malays are the majority race in malaysia and we have a unique culture and civilization since the beginning.. malaysia is also famous for food and food what is prepared by malays is the best in malaysia..you should try satay, mee soup, various rice dishes and many more..in malaysia there are many beautiful beaches..and forests is the oldest forest in the world...hope you try and enjoy the beauty of our country..

      Ah, Faiz there are other food such as the Chinese food they are really really amazing I dont agree food from the Malays are the most amazing, although i do enjoy satay from time to time!
      Also Malaysia does not mean Malay land (although I love the Malays), there are other races living here as citizens so please be mindful of your language and be respectful to others.

    If you retired in Malaysia under MM2H@MY MALAYSIA,2ND HOME and cost leaving in Malaysia much cheaper and off course if you retired in Malaysia is something you stay in 3country due to you can eat either MALAY CHINESE INDIAN PAKISTAN ARABIC THAILAND foods and many more..Have a nice day..#staysafe

    Grab cars are the most efficient transport in KL it save time, but there are free buses in the city center if you want to walk in the city center

      WE found Grab to be super convenient and cost effective. We did rent a car in Langkawi which made random travel and exploration easier.

      To visit langkawi island you need to rent a car or motorbike because there you are free to go anywhere without depending on the grab time because you are free from congestion and safe from getting lost

    It is better to go to kl tower because there is no time limit and secondly a 360 degree views. Klcc does not have 360 degree views and there is a time limit

      We found that almost every person spoke excellent English. This was one of the things we really liked about Malaysia and will be sharing the things we loved... and things we were surprised by too...
