- This is my idea of what 2 WTC should look like, exactly like 1 WTC but without the spire. It would include an outdoor observation deck on the top and would bring back the twins look. This is just an idea and I would like to show this to Larry Silverstein. Credit goes to the photographers and Frank Sinatra.

JJ_RavagerGamer13 Not on One WTC the observation deck is from Floor 102 to 100. (I believe, it’s been a few years since I’ve been there.) There is no roof observation deck on the One WTC.

You know, I thought it was ridiculous at first, but two of these look actually better. They also have the golden oportunity to have an open air deck, a feature I miss from the original twin towers.

@@ajplays7241 So Yeah The Original Wtc Was Made Of Just Steel Like You Said, Now The Freedom Tower Is Made Of Concrete Stronger Than The Roads That You Find In The Streets, The Concrete Base Is Designed To Protect It From Truck Bombs And Other Ground Level Attacks And If The Tower Gets Attacked, The Ppl Can Get Down Safety And Will Not Collapse, Now The Original Wtc Had A36 Structural Steel, Although Higher Strength Steel Was Used In The Lower Elevations Of The Structure. Except For Some Selected Floors, For Which Is Normal Strength Concrete Was Employed, The Composite Slabs Were Made Of A 21MPa (3ksi) Lightweight Concrete.
That will be to big of a project the new one world trade center was around 3.8billon dollars with inflation it would be around 5.5billon it would be cool but it won't happen any time soon

I wish they would’ve rebuilt 2 buildings instead of one. To me, the single One Trade building is a constant reminder that we got our ass kicked big time on 9/11 and this is the best we can now do. It would’ve been awesome to have a rebuilt building right next to the footprints of the old buildings.

Agreed.... Nothing can replace what was there unless you build it as was off set from where it stood.... Otherwise it would've been much better if they just done the memorial footprints as it is now with museum and train station and leave out the Freedom Tower..... Just leave as a memorial park
This is why the twins towers were so much cooler than the freedom tower. Because there was two of them. Building a second identical building would go a long way towards making the new complex look a lot better. While I still like the old towers better because they were thicker a second free tower would make them look a lot cooler than the one standing right now does
I wish we could have twins back too. But to be honest, with the current footprint and spacing between 1 & 2, what you propose would look kind of awkward. They would need to be set in positions similar to the original ones to really look like they belong, and at this point that is no longer possible at that site. Now I think it would be of more use to argue for new twins at an entirely different site. Having twins on at a different site would also allow people to see them as they saw the old twins before the attacks--as a site for commerce rather than a graveyard and memorial.

I love the video! I think this would be an amazing idea. I live in NJ and I was only 2 years old when 9/11 happened. I did not learn about these iconic towers or the events of 9/11 until I was in high school and when I learned about what happened on that unforgettable day and how it changed the world and the country forever, I could not believe it! I felt sick to my stomach. I think this is an incredible idea. My opinion, you should absolutely do it! Send this video to everyone. Talk with people about your idea! You have an idea that is so thoughtful for the country. This is the way to honor 9/11 and the victims of that day, by rebuilding both towers and restoring the skyline! DO IT!

MellyD for example I don’t necessarily care that the subway trains are no longer littered with trash and graffiti but I do care that two iconic buildings that we find our skyline are no longer here, especially when a majority of New Yorkers and 9/11 victim family members, I lost my uncle, wanted them back. I think it’s important to go with the majority rather than whatever Larry Silverstein wanted, you have to understand I lost my uncle on his property the least he could do is listen to us, but he didn’t and that can stay on his guilty conscience for the rest of his life.

That would be ideal, but there really isn't enough room over there for a second identical tower because of where One World Trade is located. If they were to do that, they should have done it before building WTC Seven. Then maybe they could have had the second tower there and maybe have WTC Seven where they are planning to build tower two.

It just would be nice to resemble world trade 1 but make it the same height. They definitely over thought this whole idea. World trade 1 and memorial looks pretty good but the rest of the plan you can more or less scrap.

I think having a twin would be a beautiful thing for sure, but if you think about it, there's a reason why 1WTC has that awkward shape: it's actually both twin towers inside one building. The south tower is the square at the bottom, and by the time you get to the top, it's the north tower 45° off of it. I honestly kind of hope that 2WTC never gets built or at least it waits until it gets a better design because I really don't like what any of the contractors are proposing, and at this point it'd be impossible to make a twin freedom tower on the foundation already built, and that seems like a waste of money for an already exorbitant project to just remove what has already been built.
I really likes this idea. If this was a reality it would be a amazing for New York city. But i would still say they should have rebuild the original Twin Towers even taller and stronger than before. But i really like this idea. Good Work :)

Honestly. Thing is, they could have rebuilt the originals right on top of the pools, with the memorial surrounding the exterior of the buildings. Seems to me it would have worked fine, but that's just me 🤷♂

The Willis Tower is still taller, and changing the "spire" to the middle instead of off to one side ruined the design imo. The rest of it is still an awesome design though. Two would have been amazing.

Yeah ima agree with you James they do suck if we were to demolish the new freedom tower with the other stuff, I’d take materials from the original wtc, like some classic beams, if they still were intact, I would shine them up and build like a memorial to them, and hell I have another idea if I were in charge, if I could I would make new waterfalls, but put the towers back in their original spots, I wish this could be a reality, but sometimes dreams don’t come true I hope it does someday that maybe just maybe we could have a petition in nyc to have the new buildings demolished and too make the original towers back, and some people say they were just two long ass bland towers that got destroyed, but bringing them back would bring popularity back to the towers!

Considering how smart hackers and criminals are nowadays, it’s VERY possible but the attack effected so many people, that even criminals themselves feel sad about that day so therefore it’s not that it can’t happen, it’s that no one would want to do a horrible thing like that, except the terrorists who did it of course

This is for the people who think there won’t be a second tower, they are gonna build a second tower It’s just most likely not gonna be a twin of 1WTC. there have been two proposed designs, a diamond topped tower and one that looks like a staircase. I’m an outsider… I’ve never been to NY but I’ve always been enamored with architecture ever since my first trip to Chicago when I was a little kid. The Vista tower currently ranks #1 in my eyes as the most beautiful and mesmerizing building in the country.
I find the new WTC a disappointment. It should have been at least the tallest building in the country.. preferably in the world. The spire was originally designed to have a facade which would have gone a long way in my eyes but the way it sits it just looks like an antenna… no more worthy than the dual antennas of the Willis tower.
Having said all that… I only see 2 options for 2 WTC. Option 1 would be a twin tower just as this video shows. Option 2 being a similar design with architectural heights that match important dates…. Examples, the first notch in the building would sit at 1898 representing the year NY became a city. The next would sit at 2073(height of the Shanghai Tower) and the rooftop would sit at 2300 representing the future. Then add a spire reaching to 2800 ft just to claim the worlds tallest building.
The fact a residential building is technically taller than 1 WTC is somewhat disappointing especially when you factor in most units are no more than investments sitting empty.
Again, I’m an outsider but my opinion comes from national pride rather than city pride.
