We can build batteries, and we don't build planes and tanks.
So you'd mostly be putting money into another countries coffers.
We mostly need ships to defend Canada, so we should make building ships and subs our priority.
Europe won't miss whatever planes and tanks we do have.
But having the world's largest coast line to defend, we'll miss ships.

Our sunny ways, softy toffee PM cannot conceive of the realities of war. But in my 60s, I can't either.
One day we will all be driven into war-theatre horrors, and the only way to prepare is to make sure we are not caught unprepared.
We need to start making preparedness a real priority.. and I hear that our military is woefully inadequate. We need to start with 2% & a longer goal of 3%.
Future conflicts will not look like anything that we have seen in the past.. take warning!

Nato needs to charge $5 billions every year to be paid by Canada as a fine for not fullfiling its obligations.

Then leave nato and any security pacts with the USA. Americans are tired of flipping the bill.
