"Ginny & Georgia" Stars Felix Mallard & Sara Waisglass Reveal if They are Team Ginny or Team Max

If you need a refresher, Max (Sarah Waisglass) and Ginny (Antonia Gentry) were at odds at the end of season one after Max found out about the secret fling between Ginny and her twin brother Marcus (Felix Mallard).
“I’m sorry, but Marcus is team Ginny,” Mallard told SheKnows. “In the story Max is being pretty unreasonable for a few episodes,” he added. “She’s hurt, but come on.”
Waisglass couldn’t disagree more. “Oh my god if I was Max I’d be livid, I’m so team Max!” she said, wholeheartedly agreeing with her character. “I get her pain, if I was 15 and this happened to me I’d be so mad.”
“I’m gonna beat him later,” Waisglass added about Mallard. Uh oh, did we just start a sibling rivalry?!
Without giving too much away, the two stars of the Netflix hit also shared some of their favorite scenes from the upcoming season (which airs on Jan 5). For Mallard, who chose the song “Talk Show Host” by Radiohead as his character’s ultimate theme song, he talked about a scene between Marcus and Georgia (Brianne Howey) where he declares his true feelings for her daughter.
“I think there’s a lot of truths that came out on season one and I think love is such a central theme to the show and especially to Marcus’ storyline,” Mallard said. “I think him and Georgia are always really honest to each which was I always really loved doing scenes with Bri because it’s just two people who are just sitting and talking honestly.”
Mallard continued, “Whatever Marcus gets from Georgia he gives it right back and so that scene in particular I think it’s his opportunity to kind of strip away all of the masks, everything that he has been building up for two seasons and just speak honestly to someone who he knows will call him out on his b****.”
For Waisglass, who chose “Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac as Max’s theme song, she said she has “too long a list” of favorite scenes to choose from. She added, as Mallord nodded in agreement, “I loved a lot of the scenes me and Felix go to do together because they always brought out something different with our characters that I think both of us were like, ‘Oh that’s new and that’s exciting.'”
“I think my scene with Chris [Kopenic], who plays our dad, was probably my favorite,” Waisglass said. “I got to learn a lot of ASL for it and he’s so vulnerable as an actor and getting to work with him is just always a dream.”
Looks like there’s a lot to look forward to in the new season, we can’t wait to tune in!
