Thanks for this. I have to cut down a pantry 82" high and same width as yours I thought I had to take off the back panel first but your way makes it easier to hold together while cutting and this way my husband won't bitch I screwed up a pricey but cheap cabinet.
Yeah, cabinets are a scam, but most people don't have the equipment to make them. The biggest issue is finishing them and getting everything to match. For the holes, you can make a simple jig to help drill them. Put a piece of plywood vertical from the floor of the cabinet and mark the holes using the front hole positions. Drill a series of holes in the plywood matching the other holes. (You really don't use but a couple of the holes anyway.) Drill 1/4" holes through the plywood using a bit with tape marking for the depth. You are back in business.
Hello! I'm in the Detroit area, and I need some kitchen cabinets resized. Some to be made smaller (narrower) and some to be widened. Any person/company that you can recommend? Thanks very much!
Great video, but one quibble: your loose hanging hair! I've got long hair too, but can't stand to have it hanging down in my line of sight, not to mention the possibility of it getting caught in the equipment. Yikes!
I’m so psyched to have found this video! This is exactly what I need to do with an old dresser i just bought.

Trying to make sure we have the right tools. Can you provide links to the cutting tools?

Any chance you can share how your husband cut down the drawer?
Great video, thank you. What nailer and guage are you using?
I am guessing 18 ga.
Do you have a video of Miles cutting down the drawers?
No. He didn’t do anything special. just cut off several inches and used glue and screws to put the back piece back on.
Bravo lady

Turn off background music so us hard of hearing people can follow along. So distracting.
