  • We are delighted to welcome back for the third time in 15 years this charming MGTF Roadster. An original UK RHD example first registered on the 4th of March 1954. Its history file begins with a full nut and bolt competition level restoration in the late 1980’s. We have a professional engineers report carried out after the completion detailing the level of work carried out. The report concludes “This car is a completely restored vehicle and in my professional opinion is an outstanding example of this marque. No expense has been spared in the restoration and the rebuild is better quality than an original example”. High praise indeed. The accompanying photos of the rebuild certainly tally with this description.
The car has lived a charmed life since covering less than 6,000 miles, mainly driving to shows and Sunday cruises. The roof was recently replaced and looks like new, the rest of the interior is excellent.
Mechanically the car has enjoyed regular servicing despite the scant mileage with marque specialist Ashley Motors looking after the oily bits for the most recent owner. We conducted a full mechanical check when the car arrived with us and can confirm it is in fine fettle and ready to put into service by the new owner.
The history file contains a huge collection of invoices for replacement parts, a collection of old MOT’s and the original “brown” logbook which is always an exciting find. Full wet weather gear is included including a full beige matching tonneau cover.
A brilliant usable example with terrific history and road manners, all the car needs is someone new behind the wheel.

I bought a '54 1250 TF in 1965 in red with steel wheels for £275. Reg PDV746. I sold it 18 months later after a huge amount of fun for £380. Fast forward to the early eighties and I saw it for sale in one of the motoring magazines, by this time it was on wires and was in
canary yellow. I think it was about £20,000. Although, as regards the colour, not original it was immaculate. It was originally bought new by a Doctor in Devon. Does anyone in the MG Owners Club know its present whereabouts?
