    From Andalusia, but Arabic origin? I see that I still have to learn many things...I had always thought in Andalusia they speak Spanish, so the original lyrics should be Spanish. But yet there might be a pre-Spanish era in Andalusia I never heard of ...

    I indeed prefer the Fayrouz version but this girl has a very beautiful voice. I found it hard to decide if this is Arabic or not! Some words are Arabic some seem very badly pronounced or not Arabic at all.
