It’s different when the men are off to war or dealing with another catastrophe and the women and men who remained behind have to pick up the slack but it’s not something to be glorified or aspired to. My hat’s off to the women that do it and make it work but it is always best to have the 2 parent household, preferably the traditional nuclear family setup. Mothers and fathers have different viewpoints and energies, and that’s what makes kids the most well-rounded and honestly gives the best chance of making it in the real world.

True story….lost my job and went back to school. I didn’t apply for food stamps, I just wanted WIC to help with my 3 little kids while in school at the time. Was a NIGHTMARE at the time to get but I did. Once I was done with school and got a job, I stopped the benefits. They told me I could stay on the program since I was already on it. I said “no” as I had a job now and didn’t need it anymore, I was excited to take myself off the program and I walked out of there dumbstruck at how easy it would be to take advantage, but my pride was that I wanted to provide for my family, not depend on the government hand to provide for my family. The point is the programs are there to help people, not be a way of living.

Sadly, they only pretend to hold the father/"sperm donor" accountable & leave loop holes to kept me in a cycle of " the paperwork says this but we're not pushing for it. If you are poor & he's not paying child support, half or all of daycare or medical, you can hire a lawyer to go after him"...what a disgusting joke I lived through.

I agree, I was a single father for a while, I married my current wife, I never receive any government assistants. I will be honest I put my son's mother on child support but she has never paid me other that her tax return the first year. She works under the table now.

I had to pay child support for years. They started taking it out when I was making pretty good money for the time period it was in. It wasn’t the mother who did this, it was the state. They took half my money when I lost the job I had when I started making way less money. They accused me of losing the job on purpose to lower my child support. Who in their right mind would do that. It made it hard on me and every relationship I tried to have. To the ladies I was a broke ass POS but still worked two jobs which just didn’t cut it. I love my son and now live back with him and his mother. Crazy how things work out like that.

1) Project 2025 isn't even Trump's initiative, 2) this isn't Handmaiden's Tale..no one is forcing anyone to marry or have children, and 3) while I've personally chosen not to have children, I have ZERO issue with other people wanting to have as many children as they desire, if they can afford it and give those children the education and attention they need, just as I would expect others to respect my own personal decision not to. We kinda need people for a society to function..

I was a single mother it was hard. My ex was abusive, I left with my sons. I wish they would have had a two parent household. I'm a Christian that believes that there are two genders and God created man than woman. There are some circumstances that some families need extra help.I'm blessed that my brother and male cousins helped by being a good role models to my son's. I like Wesley Hunt, Byron Donald's, Tucker Carlson as they are not career politicians. Also Eric Trump would be great as he has ran the Trump corpation and has had to deal with the deep state, mainstream media. Thanks.

I raised my last son alone after my husband died. The only benefits I ever took were state insurance for him. That was only after the affordable care act kicked in, and that could no longer afford our insurance. I'm remarried three months before he turned twenty-one. I just believed the Lord that the statistics would be wrong with my son. He grew up to be a very good man who's looking after his children that he has custody of. He is with a new woman now who treats his children better than their own mother did. Just have faith. Father God is the father to the fatherless❤

The government should not be giving assistance to single mothers of multiple children. It is my argument: Okay...the first child unmarried is a lesson to be learned. Anything after that....No!!! Use two birth control methods---for the woman and man---or choose abstinence. If you are not married, it is not a good idea to have children. It's a common practice in some groups. Granddaughter has a string of kids by multiple fathers, none participate in raising kids. Her Mom says she is no good and files a complaint with CPS and they take the kids. Grandma steps in to save the day... and because there is a 2 generation separation she can take them in as "foster" kids and gets $1300/mo per kid... they all live together in the same house scamming the system. My daughter had two friends in elementary school in EXACTLY that scenario.

To be completely honest I never wanted kids then my ex wife told me she was pregnant. My world got flipped upside down the moment I got to hold my daughter for the first time, then I was blessed with a son. My kids are a reflection of who I was, and a mirror into the future.

I have said for years that there are so many empty State, Fed, buildings and stores that could be used as daycare so mothers can work. Woman could go to trade schools ,college. or work. EVERY WOMAN who receives a check takes a shift at the daycare you're NOW doing your part and making a way to get on your own feet. Many people truly need help and others play the system.

We couldn't afford to have children, but we knew the Lord would make it happen, we have been married 35 years with 3 grown boys, with a grandbaby on the way. I remember being turned away buying baby formula with rolled pennies, that pissed off customers behind me, and they bought the formula 5 times more than I had in my hand. The moral of the story don't worry about having kids, and afford them, you can, the Lord would bless you.

Then I worked and didn't receive welfare or child support... it was rough... Did I say I have Multiple Sclerosis and fought with the disability while working. Now I have issues daily with Multiple Sclerosis and it sucks. At 61yo I don't do much...I'm sick today and in bed...🎉❤women should only have welfare for up to two years and then child care and medicaid help while they work.

Why not teach abstinence until marriage, and that marriage is for life. That fixes a lot of problems.
