Up untill i was like 16 i didn't like Jazz. But i got into oldschool hiphop and it made me appreciate jazz so much. It's the essence of hiphop.

Hip in the US still survives but the mainstream media looks away from the talent an entire genre has because they will forever publicize the genres and artists that make the most money america has mumble rap and chart music and here we have boast grime and chart music. Its because they have lost the compassion and care for diversity in the music game and now to them it isn't about publishing music that's healthy or at least even original its now about what makes them the most money and that is the sad truth in my opinion. Just good the world still has artists that stay true to the music they want to write even if three quarters of the world is listening to shit

For me this is where high focus have really elevated. You see being a fan of UK hip hop for many years now a lot of the artists that came through and signed for HF I was already aware of - this isn't a bad thing by the way, I listed to music religiously. What I'm trying to say here is with coops he was an artist that I found through HF which just goes to show how real the label is and what they are trying to push. From YNR to lowlife, Blah to bad taste...UK independents stand up and keep making noise!
