Caspian is a heavy post-rock band whose fourth full-length “Dust And Disquiet” showcases the band’s evolved songwriting prowess. They’ve been reinventing their own take on patient, crescendoing, layered rock music since 2005 and “Dust And Disquiet” is the band’s crown jewel. It contains the heaviest tracks Caspian has ever released, as well as their most laid back. They’ve broken the post-rock mold by introducing gripping guttural screams, an acoustic folk ballad, and crooning trumpet within its ten track journey. The record’s emotional range is startlingly vast; it takes the listener from crippling sadness to riotous anger to energetic joy over the course of an hour. The cover’s simple presentation of seven feathers arranged with tips pointing inward on dusty grey-black wood is crafted to reflect the record’s tonal juxtaposition from searing post-metal to weightless cinematic rock. “Dust and Disquiet” is a fully realized album showing a band re-defining their career not just as songwriters, but as storytellers. Watch them perform tracks from the new release here on Audiotree Live.

This is what we call a FUCKING AMAZING POST-ROCK BAND !
This performance is unbelievable...
It's almost a shame it wasn't in front of 100s of people.
such a massive wall of sound...🤘
@@vit4min_c yeah instead, it was in front of 193,000 people.
@@dalekay9ine can we periodically come back to your comment and update it? 202,678 people!
I can not disagree with you
These guys are absolutely incredible. I just heard them for the first time a few weeks ago when they opened on the Underoath tour, and wow. Just wow. Not only are they all insanely talented musicians, but after talking with them for a little bit, it was obvious that they are all very down-to-earth, genuine guys, who just love playing music. Amazing.
having never heard of them, I'm very glad I watched
I still get emotionally moved when I watch and listen to this
Just discovered Caspian glad i did they are so original.
They will just keep growing on you :) stay free brother!
Saw that these guys were touring with a band I love and checked them out.
Holy shit. Instant purchase. Incredible writing, incredible talent.
Arrrw, how good is this session - thank you very much Audiotree for the great sound engineering and of course thanks a lot Caspian!
It's not often you see a band evolve in the "right" direction...I fell in love with Hymn years ago as well as a few others and put Caspian on the shelf since...I've recently discovered them again because I recommended Hymn to a friend and together we listened to more songs...the live performances blow my mind...Sycamore...and Arcs of Command...absolutely destroy me...I can't even describe the feeling to be honest...I have yet to see them live and I hope I can at some point in the not too distant future.
Such an amazing performance, can't get over how great these guys are!
Arcs of Command is truly a masterpiece. Gives me chills every time
They killed it at the Rebel Lounge in Phoenix. Great guys and one hell of a performance!
Saw them open for underoath they were really good live and their lighting was amazing glad I got to see them
Abstract and Texture to the max.......Love this band!!!!
Just saw them last night in Los Angeles! "Epic" does not even begin to describe the experience!!!!
saw them in 2016 with Jo Quail as support, this is as absolutely overwhelming and transcendent an experience as I remember that concert being
saw them open for Underoath and they really stood out for their own. always incredible band.
That's really disappointing, Caspian opening for underoath :(
same, i caught the middle of their set because I didnt know who they were so i showed up late. wont happen again, they were awesome live
Why is that disappointing? Both amazing bands, and if it wasn't for the Underoath show - I would not have learned about Caspian. So many people walked away Caspian fans from that tour. It was Caspian's choice to open for Underoath, so not sure why that's disappointing.
Saw them open for Underoath too, here in Portland. Was kinda bored to be honest. Songs all sounded the same until I got home and listened to more of their music. Then, I realized they had potential
Def need to see them headline a show. Caught them on this recent headline tour of theirs and it changed my whole perspective of the band(and I already was super into them)
Echo and Abyss ... one of the best songs I have ever heard....
Same dude. That song is absolutely hypnotizing. It came up on some shoegaze playlist I was listening to and it just stuck out. It’s the song that got me into this band.
Man I normally don’t like post rock very much but when it’s well done it is just absolutely stunning. So glad I found this band. Never really understood the appeal of the genre until now.
post-rock is a very hit-and-miss-genre... Caspian are definitely among the hits along with Pelican, Russian Circles, Tempel and VASA
I've watched this so many times. bring em back for a 3rd time
I don`t understand how this 4 guys could play so epic and powerfull music? Great band!
Incredible! These guys just get better and better
+Pete Clarke
couldn't agree more !!
Not trying to sound rude but thats the point of music being played by a band, to improve and not stay stagnant. That is why I love this type of music! It is constantly evolving and changing for the better imho!! Seeing music that has so many different influences is so cool to me also!! Post Rock/Metal is best when it is a hybrid of musical influences. When music is played by musicians that feel but also love the music they play we reap the rewards!! Great set btw!! Love Audiotree
absolutely love this session!!
So Epic. Feel like my ears were connected to the mixer. 11-8-2016, can't wait!
Audiotree mix is god-tier.
The definition of post rock!
These guys are crazy. Love it.
i got to see this live last year, so amazing!!
Wow great performance. That drummer is super cool and laid back
I have seen them live 3 times (and opened for them once) and will be seeing them again on Minus the Bear's farewell tour. CAN'T WAIT!
Can't believe it's live session. Far above awesome.
Mindblowing !!! Killer performance !
I'm really glad I seen them and Underoath live. Awesome stuff!!
Very cool guys. Thank you, Audiotree team.
I bloody love Audiotree, their channel is a treasure trove of awesome sets
you guys really has it! i like the idea of the sound you produce.
holy crap these guys are awesome!!!
AWESOME!
This is first time I've heard you; this is freaking awesome performance!
Could only dream to have this kind of musicianship
It's incredible how they create music 😯👍
Allways so damn good this guys
Very inspirational
I hadn't heard their newer stuff, they weren't kidding about it being heavier. I like it.
Awesome!
it's so good god bless audio tree
this was fucking incredible
Jodidamente increíble!!!
They remind me of a studio guitarist named cloud kicker. You guys heard of him? For some reason the first song reminds me of him so much. I think the album is " the discovery "
Love cloudkicker
i somehow cried
great music
Round two. They always give it their all
Oh shit, fire made flesh to close it out , i dig it. I was expecting a new one(which are great btw).
I see these guys every time they come to Phoenix. Been to the last three, and I will continue to do so. Their albums are great, but it's nothing compared to their live performances. I went to their show a week ago when they opened for Underoath and left after Caspian. I paid $35 for a 50 minute performance. They are that good.
you my friend must be insane. these guys are ok compared to Underoath!
+Alex Dezember I about did the same thing, but I paid around 100 bucks for my ticket so I stuck around for Underoath. I was there for Caspian - through and through, and seeing them perform live changed my life.
+EnigmaDeplete I have to disagree. Underoath just isn't my style, man.
+Kevin Carrera If I was in your shoes, and paid $100, I would probably stay for Underoath too. And yeah man, seeing them live is just so incredible.
+Alex Dezember I guess it all comes down to preference. I saw Caspian live with Underoath too but I just feel like there are other bands that do what Caspian does but better. No offense to these guys cuz I'm sure they work really hard but I guess to each their own.
Amazing 👏
I wonder if a Post-Rock Band like Caspian can live with the profit their music makes. Awesome performance
It seems like the more creative and talented the band (in most cases) the less financially stable the band is. That is a big reason I purchase albums instead of downloading them. They create music I love so I support them in continuing to do the thing they are passionate about. In reality we have a symbiotic relationship with these bands.
No indie label band can live solely on the profit of their music. I know plenty of bands much more successful than Caspian who still have to work as bartenders and sound engineers at venues to scrape by.
Mind blown...👌
wow lights!
Who knew Erin was such an incredible singer!? Caspian is like a fine wine...you know the rest
majestic
love that moment when they finish a piece and all simultaneously go on cooldown
Wow where have you been all these years! Amazing!
QUE MAJESTUOSIDAD, QUE SUBLIMIDAD, QUE BELLEZA INDESCRIPTIBLE, QUE SENSACIONES TAN INTANGIBLES, SIMPLEMENTE CASPIAN!!!
amazing stuff. :)
Best album ever imo.
oh shit Tanner Meritt, didn't expect that. nice
Great band
ALL HAIL CASPIAN!!!

Oh wow, i wasnt expecting Edgar Ellen Poe
If you are going to try...go all the way... Do it
Q sabroso suena ese bajo! 👌🏻🤤🎶💙

i love how they got crispin glover to play drums
These guys are like an entire fucking orchestra holy shit.
Какая красивая музыка!!!
Por aquí no es lo mismo pero en directo son alucinantes
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THESE GUYS WITH UNDEROATH! 17/04!
+Kalle Medrano What?!
+Kalle Medrano NO WAY!!! I JUST GOOGLED IT!! I'M IN ENGLAND. MY HEART IS BROKEN. A GIG WITH THOSE TWO BANDS WOULD BE TOO MUCH TO HANDLE AND GILLESPIE IS BACK. I think my heart just exploded.
hahaha yes, these guys will play together :´D
It was such a great show :')
Really glad to hear it! :) still sad about it though. Hope they get a Hi quality recording of one of the shows.
