    Ironically, this video made me consider upgrading to Standard, so I bought a used Intro license while already owning Lite. A little heads-up: The pricing for upgrading to Standard/Suite is the same whether you own a Lite or an Intro license. Just thought I'd share this here.

    I got a license with my Minilab MKii have been using Lite since 9. Using 11 lite I've found that there isnt much I can't do aside from using M4L devices. Sometimes I have to combine samples (usually drum & bass or multiple guitars) when mixing to fit in the 8x8 track limits. The only reason I really would like to get the Standard license is to be able to use the M4L devices. Thanks for another fantastic video!

    brilliant method to record multiple takes of just the sound effects of the drift track, a nice was to be creative manipulating only the effects!

    This was an inspiring video good sir!! I just wanted to know is Live Lite good for acoustic recording stuff? Would 8 tracks be too limiting in this case, where we arent really relying on the electro glitchy effects a whole lot.

    No, Live Lite is not too limited. It's about you, the user, what to do with this limitations. Use them to your advance.
    I've spend too much money on first Live Intro and then Live Standard before realising that Live Lite was all what I REALLY needed. That I REALLY don't need more than eight tracks to make my music, that I'm more comfortable with Channel EQ than EQ Eight, and so on.
    As someone said below: by bouncing tracks down to one, you make space for more tracks if you need more. I've seen too many people having twenty tracks of ear candy and at the same time every blip and blop and zipp and swoosh only appears one time in the whole track. Man, put that samples into a drum rack and your down to one track. Or bounce them down. We're not in the times of the Beatles anymore (which is sad on many other reasons) where bouncing down had the bad side effect of losing sound quality.

      Unfortunately that's because Android audio is kind of a dumpster fire. It's really difficult to make things much more complicated than audio toys with it. It sucks, because I generally prefer Android to iOS.

    • @mikemeyer573
      @mikemeyer573 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @igmusicandflying yeah I have read and heard the same things, it just seems silly to me though considering android has things like bandlab, which is a fairly flushed DAW, I actually use that for a lot of stuff because I can export midi and just bring it into ableton, but it would be so awesome to have a like extra lite ableton that ran on android and had easier transfer over, I really don't think it should be -too-difficult to port maybe a more watered down version of the ios, to android, but idk how their code is all figured out and I've never made an audio app, but it still breaks my heart lol

    • @dislikebot
      @dislikebot Před 2 měsíci +2

      @@iagmusicandflyingSee, I’d accept that excuse if it wasn’t for the fact that as the previous comment mentioned, Bandlab is on android, but also, FL Studio mobile is also available on android too and is also quite a fleshed out mobile DAW.

Very boxy and not warm at all. Do I need a mixer or is there an issue with this DAW. I appreciate the help if anyone knows. Thank you

      They are going to add a repitch, spectralayers, vocalign, melodyne type of features in the clip editing mode soon, and probably add stem seperation too, probably in 13. Maybe they will even add plugin sandboxing..... but that might be more difficult. Then after that they will probably add ara2 but there wont be any need for it at that point since they will likely have more than useable versions of the plugins i mentioned in the clip view. What else would you have on the ableton wishlist?

    What pisses me off the most is that Live 11 Suite has limit of 12 damn return tracks. It's the most simplest thing in the world to lift that limit, but they made it specifically to make me pay for Live 12 upgrade to have unlimited return tracks. Cheers!
