Plane Crash Test of a Boeing 747 WIP

- Aircraft model & software development reel for advanced structural simulations using the Bullet Constraints Builder (BCB) for Blender. It appears to contradict itself but before you can use a model for realistic destruction simulation you have to make sure it is stable and not falling appart on its own. Limitations or even bugs in software can complicate things even more. Enjoy this collage of failures on the long road towards success.
Some stats for nerds:
Plane - 823 k polygons in 2,500 elements
Simulation time - 40 minutes for 10 seconds
Render time - It's just OpenGL, one second per frame

Pretty awesome, I don’t think the wings would break so easily but the fuselage looks spot on! I’m no engineer though.

@@CPS747-8 From my knowledge, you need Steam in order to get it. I believe it costs around $20 bucks, and a beefy computer is needed.

Can i ask what kind of CPU,GPU and RAM you're running the simulations on? Also real nice work. Though trust me when i say this, 747's upper fuselage sections tend to Crumple a bit more easier than the last few clips shown. They do tend to tear apart along a vertical fracture line more often as well. You're absolutely on the right track. Now we wait for the forward flying crashes WIP >:)

Cool! But wings have a bit more impact resistance, and the jet engines don't seem to fold the way they do in a real crash. Other than that, very good job!

when I see stuff like tgis I woukd imagine what was going on and with this part (2:38) im imagening that there is a plane factory were planes hang from cables and that one of the planes (this one) fell of the cabels om top of another one lol
i think you should look a bit more to the fisics explained in the series air crash investigation since it feels like a 747 should shatter much more than it does in the vid, and i recomend looking at the episode of the Tenerife crash, in that case there chrash 2 747's on the runway...
And you should look a bit more into spelling and grammar
