I'm excited to finally see this early performance because she's talked in interviews about how nervous she was playing in front of a hardcore punk crowd, who turned out to be really cool receptive to her solo music, with one guy who she described as being fully part of that scene (facial piercings etc) reassuring her that "truth transcends genres."
Thank you for posting this. Brings me back to seeing her at Mercury Lounge in NYC, looks like a similar venue and the same intimate vibe. It was obvious back then how talented she was, great to see her success both solo and with boygenius.
