It's not just that they EV swapped project x - its that they swapped in a super lame motor. The Model S plaid makes 1020 horsepower! The stupid thing they put in project x makes only 340 horsepower!

It was disappointing to see the EV conversion of Project X. EV's have a ton of potential but this was a missed opportunity to start a new Project X for an EV generation. Also managed to tick off a TON of MT's core subscribers in the process by tearing up an iconic car they grew up with. It has only riled up the anti-EV sentiment amongst many of them. Not the best PR move for Chevy or MotorTrend. Ford did it right with their EV classic truck, didn't tear up an icon, and it makes much more power than this "HotRod".
Wow that new ls 1004 hp motor is insane I’d like to put one in my 70 Acadian to all the chevys were awesome that electric 57 would have to grow on me but it might be the future of muscle cars noooo lol ,thanks for the tour 👍🏼
